I went in for alterations on a kilt for a formal function in just a few weeks. It was a challenge - I'd lost a lot of weight and it needed to be significantly brought in. Imogen is top-shelf. Not only was it fast (well before my need-by date), but it was supremely affordable and the quality of work was excellent. From the conversations before and after, I'm certain that the same commitment to both customer service and value extends to the rest of the shop. Unqualified recommendation for any alterations or hire needs.

I have nothing but good things to say about Mens Hire and especially about Jane the owner! My son was let down by a high Street company who severely messed up his prom suit order at the last minute and at the 11th hr Jane (the angel) stepped in and saved the day! I have never seen this level of customer service before. Jane made personal sacrifices to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my son could go to his prom with a great quality dinner suit. Absolutely fantastic service from a professionally run family business. From the moment my now husband booked his initial appointment to the second we returned the hired kilts the service was brilliant. From the run up to the appointment we received email and text reminder messages and even a traffic update on the day of the appointment. The colour tie and handkerchiefs we wanted were not available on hire but this was not an issue for Jane who sourced exactly what we wanted. There was also an issue with the hire shirt size/colour - again Jane went out of her way (with no extra cost to us but also the option to purchase after hire) to ensure we had all that we wanted for our special day. Nothing was too much trouble when it came to collecting and returning (even changing the point to her home address as it was easier and closer to us!) It’s these little personal touches that make all the difference especially during an already hectic wedding schedule away from home. We would highly recommended this friendly professional family business to anyone and everyone and will definitely use for any events in the future. 48hrs before I was due to leave for my wedding, I had news that my supplier would not be able to deliver half of my kilts. I called around Bristol to find other kilt suppliers, Haig Harrison's was one. Immediately Jayne reassured me that she would try her best to source an alternative and work with the common supplier to find out what had happened. I had multiple messages from Jayne explaining how we could find alternative kilts, and what sizes would work, timings, everything. At the last minute, the other supplier pulled through and the kilts arrived just in time. Jayne kept in constant communication and if this attitude and exceptional customer service is anything to go by, I'm sure their hiring services are fantastic.

An independent men's outfitters and formal hire. I needed a dinner suit for a black tie event, they were reasonably local to my place of work and had what I needed. I booked a fitting session the day before the event and left with the suit.

Faced with the unusual challenge of hiring a kilt in Bristol for a wedding in Edinburgh, where could I go? Haig-Harrison came up and it’s web site gave me confidence that all would be well, and this was confirmed by Jayne’s helpfulness and diligence at the fitting. Collection was made complicated by Covid, but Jayne again did not let that get in the way. The kit was excellent and even though I am a clan outsider, I was not out of place in help for heroes tartan. Finally, returning the kit to the shop was going to be another challenge, but no problem Jayne provided a box and return label and I could drop off at a local DPD collection point. A few days later Jayne called, just to make sure that everything had gone well. A great service.
