Medici Medical Practice luton

Excellent service from the first telephone contact. A very friendly and polite receptionist who politely enquired on the reason for the call, after explaining to the receptionist my issue was advised that the Dr would give me a call back today. I was called by the Dr within 5 minutes and an appointment given within 30 minutes. The Dr was very attentive, friendly and polite. Excellent service and the staff should be commended on providing such an efficient service!

Very rude receptionist called in tree days in a row explained what is my issue didn't give me full details about the process told me to walk in for an appointment as I was sent from hospital the very next day come in at 10 in the morning told straight I can't get an appointment... besides I was travelling back from London and been told I have to come back at 2pm as appointments are realised for the afternoon after that time. Tried to explain and suggest to give more feedback to the patient over the phone so they know that if is for next day you have to call from 8 am so you might have an appointment by the time you arrive, and isn't just walk in and see someone. All after this I have just got a cut off as I was in the wrong please and why don't I know what they supposed to tell you even if is over the phone. It's a nice practice with great doctors it's just a shame that they have rude receptionist who they aren't able to give full feedback about any process regardless if is over the phone or in person.

Very user UNfriendly!!! Went onto their website for a repeat prescription and was told to first fill in my details (something I've done few months ago!), then to come to the practice with my passport!!!!! What is the point of having a website if patients have to go to the surgery regardless?! So, I phoned them to was told that I should turn up at the practice EVERY MONTH!!!!! and renew my password for their website. It's insane! When I said that other surgeries give options to order repeat prescriptions either by phone or e-mail, the woman answered: "I don't care what other surgeries do"! Nice attitude! I will be registering with a different practice where staff cares.

Avoid this medical practice, don't go there. All the medical practices in Luton are the worst but this one is incredible. Liars and incompetent without any dignity.

good facility and doctors... But front office staff and phone staff is doing a backwards job... no patience even to listen the question .. they just want to finish the call rather than helping the person on the phone with their questions... Have i had a choice i would not have chosen this medical practice... they are definitely not playing a role in improving NHS.

This is the lowest rating allowed. Never in all In my 30 years as an adult, have I been spoken to so disrespectfully before even opening my own mouth. The reception staff waste no time in letting you know that you are trash and they are heroes. The amount of times I have witnessed other patients being bullied by members of staff un-provoked is disgraceful. I've been told several times I missed my phone call when my phone never rings or has any evidence in the call log that someone even tried to call me. And that is IF, a massive IF you are worthy of receiving an appointment. Honestly, the actual medical staff are just as bad, only two doctors I know of actually show anyone any respect and care about their patients. I was told I should leave the surgery for good because I went away for a week in May to Doncaster and can be their problem now all because they had sent the incorrect prescription and I asked for the correct one. You will notice all reviews on here are either giving the worst or best review possible which is clearly an indication of fake reviews trying to balance the rating because no one posts about average treatment. Its always the best possible to counteract the true reviews. They are not the only terrible surgery but in my experience they are by far the most disrespectful. If you attempt to make a complaint they will all gang up on you, refuse to give names and threaten to cease any further treatment which they refuse to give you anyway most of the time. You will also notice that if they bother to reply to anything, they blame the out of hours staff as they are not the same staff as the day time and also are unable to defend themselves in this forum. At the end of the day, if you ever feel suicidal and you feel like you need that last little push to make you feel worthles, call this surgery. They will be more than willing to shove you right off the ledge while complaining about the mess you leave behind.

Avoid this place at all cost if possible!!! After covid, I had not very good oxygen level and ask for appointment with doctor to checkup my lungs. But I had no luck .. Nurse Lawrence called me instead of the doctor. a minute later she hung up, because I told her that I do not like the manner in which she talks to me. Then I called the reception and told what happened, Karen started to defend Lawrence and told me that there is no more appointment for today ... she also said that I feel good because I can talk to her ... In the end I had to make an appointment with a private doctor .. the worst thing is that my oxygen level in my blood was 93% and I was denied an examination... Thanks..hope you will get, what you deserve

Booking system is atrocious, you could be in great pain and concern but they will request you to call the next day, you get round to the next day and once again fully booked! If you call on time, you are "number 21 in the call queue", once you get hold of the receptionist you are turned away?! I am sure people have been forced to join a new practice after dealing with this one. They have great GPs, just never an appointment to actually get seen

Call at 8:30 AM and all appointments are fully booked. How is this possible? The administration team systematically repeats "call later" or uses 111 in case of an emergency. No other instructions, no way to make an appointment. If you're lucky enough to have a nurse or doctor call you back, don't wait. Paracetamol is the most popular drug they might recommend.
