Nice place to go for a great selection of food and clothing. I think the best thing about this store for me is that they have a varied selection of sizes for clothing and the low prises, here it is possible to find items in XS which is not easy to find on the high street. Even when they don't have an item in my size they're more than happy to order it in

I used to shop in Matalan regularly but didn't find the quality brilliant, however I came here recently to see their homeware range and was really impressed. They seem to have redone the range completely and the prices, as well as the quality, has increased! I also managed to get some lovely cotton tops, a coat and other winter wear at a good price!

Matalan is a great shop but a shame that underwear and pyjamas are so close together. Being disabled myself I found it difficult with crutches. If someone was in a wheelchair wanting to be independent and buy their own clothes they would only be able to go up the main aisle and not look round. Needs to be more disabled friendly

Just literally left matalan, popped in with my mum to get my children's school uniforms. Spent nearly £200 in store only to be served by a girl with long brown hair with the most awful attitude. We asked if she could serve us as we don't like the self service tills and my mum struggles with her hands due to arthritis and it was such an effort for her to serve us. Didn't even say thankyou or smile once. Absolutely stinking attitude. Wasn't even busy when we asked her for help just stood there at the till doing nothing. Products and store great but this particular girl needs some training in customer service.

Went into store today and only 1 member off staff on the till and 1 on the fitting rooms and that was it,I was desperate for a belt as mine just broke, walked up down the men’s section 4 times and no luck so I eventually found someone she had no clue she said they had a big change round and said she will ask someone else and she came back and said we have no idea, really poor knowledge and lack of management in store seemed no guidance very poor and won’t be returning

We went there this morning shopping after a fairly long journey but no toilets open. Then we get to the till and the woman says self service only she then comes into my space after i have put everything through the till and goes through my buys checking all tags are off ,takes coathangers off and hands me my items. Why pushfor self service if she is already handling everything and within a foot of me. Also a lot older people cannot take the tags off. On each occasion i was told it was Government polices. I shall do online shopping in future not a pleasant chilled ecperience
