BIG FAT ZERO. Rude, intimidating manager. Overcharged on postage for two large but very light weight parcels £17.00 per parcel (quoted as the cheapest option) as confirmed by other York branch. Then made a mistake on postage (sending parcel to my address as sender) and charged me again to correct his mistake. The poor cashier was obviously uncomfortable but couldn't do anything to help!

Tried to pick up a parcel during the advertised opening hours - the gentleman over the counter said they’re closed due to shortage of staff. All this when the shop’s clearly open and staffed. Would call it appalling service, but it’s not even service.

The guy that runs this post office has gone back to being rude again, I thought he had changed but unfortunately he's back to being very short with me, I was the only one in there and he just didn't have any time for me, rushing things, no thank you, please or anything, he's a very unhappy man and I was still polite to him because it's just how I am, maybe he needs get a job somewhere that would make him happy, also the place looks like a dodgy cheap mobile phone fixing place not a lovely sweet post office selling stationary that it use to be, certainly not welcoming so now I'm back to going to WH Smiths post office, it's a bit out of the way but at least they are welcoming and polite.

Got a call from a man that they’ve taken an incomplete address for my delivery, I asked to clarify the address as it was an Airbnb accommodation and get back to them. After calling a good number of times, a lady answered the phone, heard my voice and hung up on me. I couldn’t even get a sentence in, several other attempts at calling them went unanswered. Then, I’m wondering what it is with the attitude and rudeness.

Appalling service; I agree with other comments about "miserable staff". I visited and specifically asked for "signed for" service, saying that it used to be "recorded delivery". Out of my sight, the man with a moustache stuck a special delivery label on the envelope. I said "that's not what I asked for" yet he ignored me. I was made redundant in August, so paying for a signed for service is something I could do without. I did not ask for special delivery service which was about another £2. Being redundant and having to pay an additional £2 out of my daily budget is a BIG expense I did not need. The moustache man was unhelpful and aggressive. The woman heard the exchange about the special delivery/signed for error yet she remained silent. I have read others saying that this post office provides excellent service etc etc etc. If my experience at this post office was good then my post would reflect that service, yet the service was poor and moustache man was quite horrible.

Terrible stressful experience. The owner misheard what I asked for. Asked for a stamp, he gave me a full book costing just short of £10 then refused to refund me saying he couldn't do refunds. Shouted at me. Like fully shouted whilst eating spitting food everywhere. After protesting and having to beg him for a refund for 10 minutes I finally got one. Tried to then ask if two first class stamps where equivalent to one large packet stamp and was ignored and told he can't tell me without seeing the package. I tried to ask again as its a perfectly logical question and was shouted at and told to get out his shop. Obviously annoyed he had to pay me back the money he took through his own error. Never met a man more rude, arrogant unprofessional or downright vile in my life. Only nice assistant there is the blonde lady. I will never go there again. The man has serious anger issues as do the rest of the staff bar one.
