This is an intimate little bar in the heart of Bath, i think its the only exclusively gay bar in the city. The staff are friendly enough, just don’t tell them your American you’ll be fine! The Security staff on the other hand are FREAKING AWESOME! I had so much fun talking with them, they were friendly and professional, respectful and just freaking AWESOME! I loved coming here with friends while visiting Bath, would definitely recommend for any visitor!

The staff are lovely. The drinks are good (if a little expensive, but that's bath) and the music's great. But the swathes of middle aged men who feel entitled to touch and grab at the young girls there, or the numerous young lads who go there to hit on girls and become self righteously hurt when they say no will ruin your night. Not safe for girls, the patrons don't understand the word 'no'.

I was very happy with the bar service , the atmosphere was great but I felt very uncomfortable again on my second visit due to the doorperson. Who came across as very aggressive and racist . Last night I had to call police as he physically man handled me and showed me handcuffs . Threatened me that he would follow me to my home if I reported him . Be careful anybody female or black or actually he just doesn't like . I am seeing the police today to report him . I want to know what security firm allows and encourages their staff to threaten single woman or anyone in general . I shall investigate this also

If you want a fun, friendly and social bar to go to, you’re in for a treat with Mandalyns. The bouncers, staff and punters made our weekend. We ended up going back second night on the run, as we made lots of friends, had a good dance. I’d recommend the ps. I lust you cocktail invented by the wonderful bar man there. Also, there’s a 15 shots for £20 offer, now that’s a bargain. Say hi to Adam and Matt on the door, they were so lovely, kept us safe and had a good laugh in the time we were there. Thank you Mandalyns, if we were local, we’d be locals xx

Can’t believe this place honestly, have heard it’s good but the only experience I’ve had so far tells me different. If you walk UP to this place make sure you pace yourself inline as good as the military or the staff on the door are going to make a quick assumption that you’re too drunk and refuse you entry and boycott you outside, for simply explaining walking up the steep incline is difficult for some (after an 11 hour shift). My friend tried to reason fairly with the bouncer about the fact that refusing entry on someone swaying on walking up a steep incline is unjust and that they should simply ask them to walk in a straight line when they get to the door instead of presuming someone is not fit (you don’t arrest someone robbing a shop before they’ve entered). Thankfully a nice man called Jamie spoke to us personally and I think we might be back because of his understanding and overall friendliness but him being nice is just a plaster on the wound of this situation.
