Exceptional care and superb patient focus. Everything explained in easy to understand language. 12 months into my replacement hip and signed off. Max is a first class surgeon and so down to earth and helpful. I will have no concerns when/if the time comes for hip no 2 to be replaced. No concerns about recommending The Spire Manchester Hip Clinic. Thank you for giving me a new start.

Max, and his PA Christine, have been excellent from start to finish, using MAKO robotic assisted surgery on the left HIP. Now 6 weeks post operation, and now mobile and walking 6-12km, slowly. Manchester Spire is also an excellent place to to have your operation.

I’ve had a few operations in my time, but my experience at Spire Manchester has to be the most uplifting, caring, professionalism I have ever seen in a hospital. From start to finish on my hip replacement, the people that dealt with me would always think of me first. They never once cut any corners. Made sure I understood everything that was happening to me. Post op care was exceptional. Professor Max Fehily was a terrific, heartwarming person. From himself and all his staff, all you felt was care from them all, right down to the receptionist, car park attendants. I would always put Manchester Spire my first port of call for all my medical needs. They do not discriminate on who you are at all. It was such a terrific feeling being around all those people who you knew from the start just had your well-being at heart. I can’t thank you all so much for looking after me through it all. You all deserve gold medals, Yours Heather Draper

I was recommended to have a consultation with Max as my both my hips were in a awful state due to a hereditary disease and being young for a hip replacement. After reading up on Max’s Bio and initial consultation I knew he was the right surgeon to complete my double hip replacement and had the appropriate skills and experience to undertake such a complex procedure. He went through the MAKO robotic assisted surgery procedure and the advantages of using this technique for my complex hip replacement & thoroughly planned the surgical process with MAKO. From the day of my operation and 7 weeks after, I know I had correctly picked and put my faith in Max. I now have no hip pain, for the first time in my life. The aftercare from Max as well as the back ground organisation by Christine was superb. Manchester Spire is an excellent place to have had the surgery completed and all the staff were excellent & supportive.

Seven weeks post op and my hip is feeling pretty good. After considering several surgeons I chose Prof Fehily based on his understanding of operating on sports men and women, as being able to resume an active sporting life post op, is paramount to me. So far it’s all looking good. Professional service from first consultation to now. Gradually allowing my hip to heal and looking forward to riding my mountain bikes again, with a view to a return to racing Enduro in 2022. At 52 I’m at the lower end of the age scale, but enjoying life now is my main priority and the team at The Manchester Hip Clinic understood this.
