The room was lovely & clean. Very well appointed/decorated, with a comfy bed & powerful shower. Great staff who were all very friendly. We had lunch in Chez Mal & it was really good. Great location close to the train station. Will stay again next time in Leeds.

Poor buffer with only one main dish... and it was called "feast"... (in my opinion whoever called it like that has never seen a proper dinner buffet). Upon paying 99 pounds for the event I asked for a bottle of sparkling water and I was told that option was not available... only alcohol drinks... Sharing a table with 8 more people was not right... meanwhile I felt I was having dinner in a night club (in my opinion DJ should have started a bit later) I was trying to have dinner surrounded my bottle and glasses from the rest of the table who were more concentrated in getting drunk... During the event there was poor service to clean tables... mountains of glasses, plates, and bottles everywhere.... I would never recommend this place...

It's really a very nice hotel. It was clean with a room that felt well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the shower was ok. If anything the water was a little hot so be careful! The bath was deep and filled quickly with hot water. The fridge in the room is filled with stuff they want to sell. It's a little annoying if you have stuff you'd like to store in it. Overall it was nice and the restaurant was fantastic. Really good food. The only real negative was the warmth of the room. The thermostat kept turning off and the room wasn't very warm at all.

Works Xmas do in private dining room. Food good, service good - all well until we asked for coffee, which took an age to come, required multiple corrections to the order and which arrived without the requested hot milk. Guys, it's the last thing that happens that people remember

Pros: The staff here are great and we liked the bar. Clean hotel. Cons: the air con is dreadful, you can hear it’s on but it’s so weak it may as well not be. We can’t get the room down to a reasonable temperature. So my 4:30am review is: if you specifically look for air con to avoid not being able to sleep when it gets hot, I would skip this one. But if you don’t care about temperature too much, it’s nice.

A fabulous hotel, and a great cocktail bar. They make a wicked old fashioned. Dropped a star for a slightly disappointing toasted sarnie I ordered from room service. Didn't really match the otherwise high standards of the hotel. My room was awesome, the Surrealism Suite. Particularly if you are a fan or hippos. Extremely comfy bed although being centrally located it is a bit noisy into the early hours outside. It didn't bother me but it might others. Room price was pretty steep and it didn't include breakfast which just felt quite stingy. If you are paying 300+ for a hotel room breakfast I think should be part of the deal. Nonetheless, I had a fabulous stay. Highly recommended.

Can't really beat the location. Only a few minutes walk from everything you need. Check in was simple with friendly reception staff. The breakfast selection was better than most hotels I've stayed in and the quality is impressive too. The room wasn't brilliant. A bit stuffy and didn't want to open the window too much as it was freezing outside. The tap in the bathroom dripped quite a bit and actually woke me up. Having said this, the room was clean and presented well.

Stayed on a Friday night, staff let us check in early, room was superb and staff very friendly. Great building, only down side was the windows in the rooms should be double glazed as we were woken by all night revellers in the street many times.
