I’ve stayed at Malmaison Hotels all over the country and I’m a loyal customer. This one is by far the worst one. I dealt with a number of inexperienced staff from start to end. At the restaurant during I could see people arguing with each other in a very heated way. I got someone bringing my plate and nearly throwing it in front of me and turning around in a rush. I had to raise my voice and call a few times so I could turn around and ask for a tomato sauce. But I was immediately corrected by the angry looking waiter: “do you mean ketch up?!” I wish I didn’t have to complain about the structure, but in the last night I could get the couple in the bedroom next to mine snoring loudly and in the morning the lady next door was walking around in heels and I could feel every step. The walls are not sound proof at all! Staying there again: never!

Lovely location and sea views . Modern decor. Good staff. Nice cocktail bar on site. But the walls are paper thin unfortunately. We stayed 2 nights and didn't get a good night's sleep on either night. First night our neighbors had their TV on really loud until gone 1am, so I had to bang on the wall. The second night the other neighbors fancied a drink on their balcony (no issue with that) but we heard everything until the early hours of the morning. So yeah, a bit disappointing they have poor sound proofing in place. Other than that. Nice free parking at the multi storey, plenty of places to eat nearby and a quaint railway like about 5 min walk which takes you to and from the pier.

On a Sunday don't order anything that isn't a Sunday roast! Been there twice in a group and anytime someone deviates from the roast menu the food is awful. They seem to prepare the fresh food first then leave it under a heat lamp whilst doing everything else. Think dry burger, rubbery fish, wilted salads. That said roasts are very tasty!

I took my daughter's (11-14yrs) to Brighton for a few days. I have normally stayed in hotel rooms. This time, I wanted to take an apartment. I came across boardwalk apartments in Brighton marina. I secured a two bedroom self catering apartment for the same price as a hotel stay. The apartment was really clean, spacious and very close to all the major restaurants. Close by was David Lloyds, a bowling alley and the cinema. Brighton marina is a 7 minute drive to Brighton pier. You can walk along the beach for 20 mins from the marina to the pier also. I would recommend this facility if you do not want a hotel room and want somewhere safe and well located for your young family.

Excellent hotel! The rooms are nice and the hotel itself is well dressed. Our room could have been cleaned better but the rest made up for it. We had food in the restaurant and it was amazing, the staff were all really attentive - they couldn’t do enough for us. Special mention to Sam. Would definitely return to this hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed two super nights in a harbour-facing room for our 21st wedding anniversary. The food was excellent in the restaurant and room service. With staff being attentive and smiling. We were most impressed. I've a few tips for planning your stay: 1. Take a make up mirror, as the mirrors are situated 3ft distance from where you stand, also poorly lit for putting on make up. 2. Check to see if there is a party on the nights you're staying. We had a wedding reception under our room until 11pm. 3. Check the bath robes on arrival, I had ours changed as the ones provided were tatty. We were paying almost £500 a night so our expectations were high. In all we had a good stay. Do bear in mind that Brighton Marina is a 30 minute walk to Brighton Pier!
