Main Point Books edinburgh

This is my favourite second hand bookshop. The selection is eclectic and awesome and the owner and staff are lovely. Definitely worth a visit or two.

Friendly and helpful wee store

Disappointed - went to visit Saturday 16/2/19 - closed st 9am - fair enough I though maybe they opened at 9.30-10 - but when we returned st almost 12 noon still locked up

A great second hand bookshop in central Edinburgh. Stocks a wide range of Scottish and Celtic titles, as well as lots of fiction, women's writing, some poetry and lots of other stuff. The prices are very reasonable and I always find something that I have been looking for!

amazing amazing selection for dirt cheap. i got a £30 architecture book for £5 and that’s to name just one. staff was friendly and welcomed long browsing. definitely coming back!

I went into this store for the first time today and the owner could not have been any more welcoming. Jenny, I believe her name was, happened to be very friendly, knowledgable and She was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for without missing a beat. The shop was very cosy, full of variety and had a relaxing atmosphere. I cannot wait to return here and sift through more treasures of knowledge.

A charming book shop with a friendly shop keeper. I found an obscure and fascinating book (couldn't find it online) as well as a nice book to read on the train. If you like books, you'll love this place!
