We have had a disappointing experience with Magnet. Firstly the contractor they sent in was horrible, he was a bully and reneged on part of the agreement we had made, on the other hand his team were very nice. They re-plastered the kitchen and told us to paint it before they installed the kitchen, which we did, they then proceeded to gouge holes out of the walls when they put the work surfaces in. The guy who sold us the kitchen promised us that he would come and fix the walls himself and we paid the balance of the bill based on this promise. It's nearly a year later and he still hasn't come despite lots of correspondence and more promises. Eventually we got fed up and got a quote from a decorator. Magnet have only agreed to pay 50% of the bill for reasons that are not entirely clear to me. We decided to accept their offer so that we never have to deal with them again. We're feeling pretty bruised by our experience and do not recommend them. Our kitchen is okay, the fridge wasn't properly installed and they have been back a couple of times to fix that problem.

Magnet (Brighton) designed and supplied a new medium-sized kitchen for our house in Mid-Sussex. We’re very happy with the design and the end result. In particular the service from Sam was friendly and with good attention to detail regarding what our priorities were. Overall we felt value for money was good. Any issues which came up during the fitting stage were resolved promptly – our sense was that the builders doing the fitting had to work quite hard to make some of the units fit in as planned (in particular a corner cupboard for which pipework had to be rearranged and a splashback which ultimately had to be abandoned). Nonetheless, overall we’re very pleased – the units have been fitted for a few months now and all seem good quality and no issues with these.

Well, If you would like your kitchen units to fall off your wall and hit you then this is the place for you! it would be no stars from me if that was an option. The kitchen units fell off the wall after installation, we had only half filled them when they came down, they injured my boyfriend and thankfully my toddler wasn't in the kitchen at the time. What's worse was the customer 'care' team afterwards, very unprofessional and caused a lot of stress. The fitter had been complaining about being overworked, he hadn't voiced issues with the walls during installation, he just put them up and walked away to the next job. They built a cupboard to go around our boiler, when we next had our boiler serviced he had to saw through a part of it to get to the boiler because it was boxed in. AVOID.
