Macedon Ranges Hotel and Spa – Melton

This is only for the hotel I'm not too sure what views the people are talking about but the view we had was purely of trees about 20 m away and we were on the top floor. the room hadn't been cleaned very well between the days we were there it was very windy and we found that leaves blew in but we're not vacuum up it was fine it was a large room came complete with a toaster kettle microwave and a good small fridge suitable to keep bottles or wine etc...in the bed was comfortable it was ok but dated. also if you dine at the restaurant you can't charge it to your room they are run as separate businesses

Spent 2 nights here midweek. Very central to many towns. Bed one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in while away from home. Room was clean and good size. Of course the spa hits the spot after a day's bush walking.

Stayed for a night and, overall, while okay the accommodation is somewhat pricey for what you get. The positives: generously sized room, clean with a reasonable amount of amenities (robes were great!), comfortable bed, and nice gas faux-wood heater and spa. However, some significant areas for improvement. The room's look and quality was a bit dated and in need of a spruce up. Two larger issues were the noise coming from the freeway (as the room looked on to it), which made it seem like a plane was constantly flying past and made it difficult to sleep, and exacerbated by the fact that the blinds do not cover all the windows, so bright sunlight streams in and lights up the room as early as 6:30am-7am. Unfortunately, this means the late checkout at 11am won't help you catch up on sleep.

A relaxing & enjoyable stay. Room was spacious & clean. Starlight Room had great views . Staff very friendly. Cosy feel with the gas fire . Definitely recommend & would come back again.

What a breath of fresh air from our bad experience at Werribee Mansion, Harris who checked us in was the consummate professional, couldn't do enough for us. The room was fantastic very spacious with great views over Mt Macedon, you can relax in the large spa bath and look out at the mountains,even when your in the king size bed you see the views through huge glass windows, no one can see in as you back onto the forest. The room was very clean and modern, I love this place, so do yourself a favour and stay here
