Great shop with lots and lots and lots of door hardware on display, and even more catalogues for even more choice. The staff were very helpful and polite. All ready had my eyes on some smart looking black handles for a hacked IKEA set of drawers I'll be working on soon.

This is a gem of a shop - I don't know another shop like Banfields. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. The shop itself is charming. If you look closely the walls are made of hundreds of tiny handmade drawers containing the stock. It's in a tucked away location but there are always folk in there, both trade and retail - I'm glad it's not just a few of us who appreciate unique independent stores like this .

This place is just off the main Western Road, Hove. I used it to get some door locks which work well. There is a great range of locks, handles and related products at good prices. Staff are much more friendly and helpful than at the big superstores. If you want good, old fashioned service and the right choice of purchase come to this establishment.

Was an excellant shop for both trade, DIY and the occasional purchaser. Such a shame after 162 years selling out only for the business to be mismanaged thereafter. The community have lost such a well known and respected Hardware Store that need not have closed at all.

Fantastic traditional retailer, huge selection of door furniture, handles, locks etc, all of which you can actually see. Great professional advice from knowledgeable staff.
