5/ 5

Loved searching for the fairy doors on the trees and the play area. Possibly the best tree swing ever here - it's so high! Really great to see so many children building dens too. Apparently it's also known as 'Rainbow Wood'?? Will definitely be going again. Also a total plus the dog can come as usually when we go to a playpark the dog can't come in. We had 5 children with us from age 2 months up to 6 years, but plenty of 10 year olds there in other groups.

Shame about the dogs! We come here for the children's outdoor area. It's a one of a kind play park made out of tree stumps etc. For little children and toddlers it's fantastic. Big issue is the dogs and their walkers. There is clearly a sign that asks all dogs to be on leads but for the many dog owners who have built themselves a pyramid and placed their dog on top the rules don't apply. The children and therefore us live in fear of being leaped upon by dogs any moment. Weather the dogs are being friendly or not the energetic attention from the dogs is unwanted and inappropriate. Despite protecting the children and physically intervening we are still met with hostility from the owners. One owner siad. 'I've been walking my dogs here for 40 years, just because their is a new rule this year to keep dogs on leads in this area because of children is ridiculous and I won't do it' Who has this right? Me with children (small humans with rights) with the right to freedom to explore the play park that has been made for them in safety and signs put up to ask dog to be on leads? Or Should the precious dogs have the right to roam free jumping up on children and fouling in play areas and because it's been going on for 40 years it should continue? Another placeunobtainable for families because of dogs! I'm off to have a picnic with the children what could wrong?
