A course that i had been wanting to play for a while, i was certainly not disappointed by Long Ashton. The course was kept immaculately and the greens some of the best that i have played in the area. A challenging round with many memorable holes and beautiful views of the surrounding area. if i lived in the area then it would be top of my list for membership.

I am a member at Long Ashton. It is a really good and challenging course with some of the best greens in the region following their rebuilding in 2013 and is always well presented. If a visitor considering a round in the Bristol area you have to play Long Ashton. The membership are very friendly and the clubhouse is renowned in the area for the welcome you receive and the quality of the catering.

Turned up at 930am to play as a visitor, they don't have tee times you just add your ball to a chute on the 1st tee. £50 a round, £8 for an electric trolley. First thing I noticed was how good the tee boxes were, all flat and in great nick. Course was in fabulous condition and the greens fast and challenging. Really enjoyed this course and will definitely return for another go.

3/ 5

On the surface its a beautiful course well kept however beware - the course is built on top of regional tectonic plates and so there are huge magnetic forces that manipulate your golf shots beyond understanding. Of course the club staff wont tell you this but just ask the members, their handicaps are proportionally much higher than other club golfers.
