Lock 91 – manchester

Great, attentivw staff. Nice little outside area on the lock. Quirky venue right near the tram stop on Deansgate. A definite must.

We held our post wedding party at Lock-91 and it was awesome! In the run up to the event Cherish was fantastic offering advice and as many pre-party meetings with us as we wanted. She liaised with our band, DJ, caterers and cake maker directly and made sure that everything came together and ran smoothly. We hosted 150 guests and hired the attic, reception bar and parlour which had ample space. All staff were amazing throughout the night and couldn’t do enough for us. We hired the in-house DJ (Lee) who was friendly, fun and professional. He played the music we asked for and added tunes in-keeping with our tastes. We were dancing until 2am! Circle events catered our party. The food was top quality and enjoyed by all our guests. It was clear they had a lot of experience catering Lock-91 as a venue as they ran very efficiently. If you are looking for a modern party space, Lock-91 is the place for you!

Cool vibe and reasonable prices Staff are excellent

Nice and cosy. Very good beer. Very nice decorations. It has a few little nice spaces that can be used for different occasions and I guess can be let out for the night if you wanted to run a private event.

We came here for drinks after lockdown the set up was good with track and trace and temperature checks and sanitizer on the tables. there is a large range of cocktails and IPAs to choose from and the prices are pretty decent too great for starting the night off

Great place for a private function. My catering company called By Request has delivered canapes and food for private parties and always been impressed by the venue and the friendly helpful staff. Recommended

Amazing bar staff. The bartender, Alex, made an absolutely amazing Bloody Mary. Sadly, you don't get many places that can make a Bloody Mary from scratch, but Alex took the time to do so. It was hands down, literally the best cocktail I've had in the last ten years. Will definitely be returning soon. It's worth the price you pay. 11/10

My wedding reception was held here, if you're looking for a rustic style venue in the city centre - this is an excellent choice. We had the outdoor terrace/an inside room/bar/toilets all private for our party. Its nicely decorated so not much need to worry about decorating too much. Alex was very helpful all night, as were the 2 bartenders. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us all comfortable. However this is not 5 stars for a reason - We were told we could only use their caterers, so I waited months until they had arranged their caterer to then have the caterer cancel less than 4 weeks before my wedding. I understand this is not directly Lock91s fault but the manager Andi handled it terribly. He offered no apology or alternatives and said I should find something myself and cover all costs which would have been far more than we were originally paying. I manage a restaurant where we regularly host events so we we were able to have our meal there thankfully or my wedding would have been ruined. I suggest Lock91 look in to how some managers are interacting with customer's, as it was amazing besides that.

I had my Christmas party here in the loft space and it was faaaaancy. The bar area is nicely sized for the amount of people that can fit in there, suitably staffed with employees nice enough to drunk messes on a free bar. We had a bit of entertainment and it was as in the name. It was good craic. My only criticism would have been the food. It was ok, it didn't really fit in with the aesthetic of the place but it filled a hole. Overall I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a drink in a rustic setting then you're in for a treat. Definitely one to try out.
