My brother was transferred to Leverndale. His belongings like mobile phone cash were left in previous hospital he was in. So they posted it to inpatient affairs to Leverndale. I phoned them and awfully rude aggressive woman picked the phone shouted to me telling that I am lucky she is even talking to me. She was shouting and very rude and cheeky. I recorded all phone call and I am going to make complaint about her. Still my brother's belongings are lost. They haven't passed that to him and dude to his mental illness it causes a lot of stress and anger in him. The ward isn even interested to fimd out where his belongings are and collect it for him. The hospital is freezing cold with holes in the windows.. bed is so noisy and uncomfortable.. Not plenty of food and nutrition. Patients say it is more like a prison. Some of the staff are nice but some really rude and not helpful at all.... don't recommend !!

1/ 5

There's an ice cream van outside the hospital every day that sell cigarettes, ice cream and drugs like cocaine, amphetamine and heroin to patients. Staff will misplace patients' belongings in their rooms and then blame the patients confusion on their illness. Staff will sign an abuser as named person and then fight the new named person with passive aggression. During fake covid you're not allowed to visit or social distance, effectively cutting off all communication with the outside, while the thick walls of the hospital removes all reception from phones. When calling to ask if they can take a phone to a patient they just hang up and make excuses (because they can't have a patient come to the land line). Be lucky if you have one doctor that listen, otherwise you might get four doctors changed in less than 2 months. This place has wasted my time, energy and 2000 pounds in 2 years. Free health service is just the food and rooms, the named people have to go out of the ordinary to serve the people on the inside because they can't even get patients a toothbrush.

I can't really speak for the rest of the hospital but the people in the McLeod centre bit are nice. The DBT service (outpatient) they do there is really good.
