Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel; even though it was a short stay. The hotel and the room I stayed in were clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and considerate. The location of this hotel is great due to it being so close to shops, restaurants and glasgow train station; which offers even greater accessibility to other locations in Scotland.

Great for the price you pay. We were here for 4 days as a family and our 3yo toddler loved George from the restaurant staff. George made our stay extra special every day our son was looking forward to just pop into the restaurant to give George an update about what we’d done during the day and to give him a big hug. Room wise I would recommend taking some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper- hospital noise wasn’t a bother for us but personally the creaking pipes woke me up each night several times (my partner was fine though). Check in was easy and staff very helpful as we were staying over NYE and without asking they just offered a room on the 3rd floor furthest away from where the party would be so we not be disturbed- going the extra mile very thoughtful! Thanks guys!

The reception area may look modern but the rooms are very very dated. The mattress seems and feels as though it's been there since day one. The carpet was pretty filthy and the floorboards did not feel very sturdy. You could hear every sounds, from people talking in their rooms to people flushing the toilets above you. Although it states check out time was 12pm, the housekeeper knocked at our door at 9am!! Did not get an apology, she just said "oh, it doesn't matter I will come back later". We've been travelling from Aberdeen that night and was hoping to get as much rest as possible before making a 3.5 hours drive back home. But the noise throughout the night and an early " morning call" from the housekeeper gave us very minimal rest. The only positive points about this hotel was the location and the receptionist. She was very polite and helpful. I do not recommend this hotel if you want a good rest

Great prices and staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean. The room we were in looked tired. Wallpaper ripped off the wall (323) and some stains to the devan base. I'd stay again though and hopeful that management will carry out some improvements/repairs.

My parents stayed here this past week on either side of difficult and wearying international travel. The staff were absolutely superb - thoughtful, generous and very willing to help out where possible. It’s comfortable, clean and well-located with a lovely little pond just nearby - ideal for walks at my elderly father’s pace.

- Greeted with a very distinct cold reception, lack of smile or friendliness - very abrupt - Very unclean carpet in the room, clearly not been vacuumed, obvious bits visible on the floor that shouldn't be visible had it been cleaned - No teaspoon, had to call reception to get one - Extractor fan broken in the bathroom, which meant whole bathroom steamed up badly after a shower - Light above the sink not working which meant it was darker at that area resulting is difficulty seeing when I was shaving - Room had not been cleaned or tea/milk topped after my first 1st night there (which was not requested) - Cup mark stains visible at the bedside table - On departure cold reception again, no asking if "everything was ok" or asking how the stay was etc - atrocious lack of customer care
