Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care reading

This is the second visit to Leightons, Reading , having transferred from Caversham. I was very satisfied with the first visit, with no pressure to replace spectacles. This time I chose to, and although expensive, I am more than happy with the product - service, design, function and comfort. Thank you.

I have been using Leightons in Reading for 20 years and would recommend them to anyone for eye care & opticians. On the very odd occasion if there has been less than 100% satisfaction they have always found a satisfactory remedy, that’s why I always use them.

Always a warm and courteous attention when visiting. I leave feeling well looked after and content. Always recommend you to others and have done for nearly 30 years. Totally professional.

Good professional service. Hearing test was free and the appointment was combined with the eye check appointment. Not busy on Friday afternoon so service was quick and efficient.

Great experience, would recommend. I have had an eye test, and have since had follow up phone calls regarding my contact lenses trial. Everyone I've spoken to has been really helpful and nice. I have a few more appointments left, but would recommend to anyone. To get the receipt/invoice to be signed off for work was easy to get and the emailed version was very useful for this.

Having used specsavers, vision express and boots opticians since I was 6yrs old I can say that I have had the best experience at Leightons Reading. They are incredibly friendly and professional, willing to go above and beyond to take care of you from the moment you walk in, which is a big deal for someone with anxiety. I went in by myself for a dispensing appointment and one of the staff took me through all the things I need to consider and helped to pick out some frames, without putting any pressure on me to choose. It was the quickest I have ever chosen frames! Whilst they aren’t the cheapest, everything else for me outweighs this.

Perfect balance between modern and up to date practice (and equipment) and old school customer service, true ophthalmology interest and care. Special shout out to Albert who is a delight to interact with. Brings warmth and happiness to customers young and old (and middle aged). A world away from Specsavers.

The receptionist would benefit from a customer care course.
