Absolutely stunning. Very warm welcome and our room was available despite our early arrival. 10 minute walk to the city centre. Stayed in room 4 with 4 poster bed. Absolutely beautiful room. Didn't want to leave. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. A little gem.

We stayed in room 5 over the weekend which had these good points: Spacious room with quality bathroom and spa bath. Great location about 10 mins walk from the Abbey and city centre. Friendly staff. Car parking. Good views of skyline. Bad points: Car park was a bit crammed when we got there. Less spaces than rooms. Annoying rattling sound (think pipes behind wall) at random times in night. The air con came on and started dripping. Breakfast was very average, would not say "award-winning" which had heightened our expectations.

Great staff, very helpful and mindful of the whole virus distancing/cleanliness situation. Fantastic building with a bright spacious room and excellent facilities. Best of all, top grade English breakfast served without beans - who wants damned beans?? Not me. A big sausage though? Yum.

All-in-all, it was a nice stay in general - the staff were perfectly accommodating and sweet and the hotel itself was welcomingly designed. There were two minor shortfalls to highlight: firstly, our mattress was very hard and made it difficult to sleep; and secondly, there was inconsistent availability of staff so leaving your bags in storage during the day was not possible (even though the booking said this was an available service). But overall we enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was lovely!

Excellent Location, Exceptional Service, Staff were welcoming and friendly. They were always there to answer any questions on where to visit and restaurants. Our room was stunning and so big. It was a Birthday treat for my hubby, the Champagne and Chocolates were Excellent and very good quality. I know the Chocolates were from Hotel Chocolate. Breakfast Perfect. We will be going back. The cleanliness was spotless. They had parking on site which is always an added bonus. It was only a 10 minute walk to the City, 20 minutes if your not in a rush. Thank-you for making our stay perfect.
