Hospital staff are nice but the only bad thing to say is that I was here for nearly 4 hours straight and didn't get out till about half 10 in the evening after I jumped up into a doorway and cut my head open and of course had to come here.

The Emergency area is being rebuilt and much is changing, however my Nan was rushed in, in February this year and there is a fab capacity to deal with many emergency patients at once. While privacy is aimed for, it is not achieved to perfection but... it's an emergency room! While a bed was found for Nan on a ward we were given a quiet side room and the staff, while extremely busy, were very polite and reassuring.

I have a heart problem and I was told to mention if I had any palpitations while I was waiting and they’ll put me on the monitor to pick them up. No one did when I mentioned it. I repeatedly had to keep asking when I’d be seen, and what’s going on even after mentioning I’d been having them on and off for two hours. They didn’t seem bothered. Some doctor’s/ hca’a are lovely there but I don’t recommend the place if I’m honest.

The signs of Adult A&E are very very poorly marked and guided. I am NHS consultant working else where but reaching to this Adult A&E was quite difficult. Urgent need of improving the sign guidance. Should be Very well illuminated and very well lit, seen in the night. Mention of Gate 2 is there but Gate 2 is not prominently marked. Services inside were good.
