Really poor Hospital and maternity! Rude midwife’s and generally a bad experience. Neglectful and can’t deliver the care they used to. They blame staff shortages and covid but everyone we spoke to was having the same with them. Only shining light is the NICU UNIT where staff are actually amazing! We heard the royal was bad but there is no comparison!

I just wanted to give a shout out to midwife Lydia, who was there from the start to the end of my labour and was there afterwards. An absolute credit to the hospital. All the other staff I encountered were also, friendly and caring. Especially the student midwife Faheema. There were some staff issues and on my last night, poor Lydia and another midwife were trying to run the antenatal and the postnatal ward, by themselves.

If you’re a dad to be don’t expect to be able to go inside with your partner, don’t expect to go in the consultation room with your partner even if there are issues during pregnancy, every trip to maturity unit. I’ve had to wait outside and told I’d be called in but never was so my poor partner had to go in a consultation room on her own balling her eyes out while the consultant explained the situation, how you expect a distraught pregnant woman to understand everything without having someone else there by her side, but it’s absolutely fine the receptionist doesn’t wear a mask and spits everywhere as she talks the troll absolutely disgusted in this unit my partners 5 days over due and she’ll be having this baby at a diffident hospital where there partner or who they choose will be allowed to be present!
