Well... We went in to buy the Midnight Belvedere wallpaper and asked for assistance finding the paint to match the background colour for the adjoining walls and an accent colour for the opposite wall. Firstly she argued there was no suck colour as Midnight Seaspray - which turns out to be the accent colour. Then she advised the background colour to be Sugared grey before walking away mid conversation to deal (poorly) with someone trying to purchase a lamp. Having bought the paint and put it on the wall it turns out she was wrong about sugared grey also. Now we have the walls painted in a colour that doesn't match up to the paper. Yes perhaps we should have been more sceptical and checked elsewhere or just got the samples but we should have been able to trust the advice of the store assistants in a shop like Laura Ashley. Extremely disappointed and now not sure whether I should swap the paper for one that goes with the paint or go pay for a tin of the correct colour paint. Will not be going back to the Shipley store again.
