LDNPA is in urgent need of a shake up before the Lake District grinds to a standstill. How about compulsory Park & Ride facilities and subsidised public transport for day visitors for a start? And what about enforcing some of the long-standing and blatant planning infringements which, even the LDNPA admits, are in contravention of its own guidelines and regulations? (Illegal, ugly and intrusive roadside advertising on A591 at Ings and nocturnal light pollution at Plantation Bridge, to name but a few).
