A generous sized pool - almost as wide as it is long. Fitness swim lanes seem to be available throughout the day as there is enough room to have swimming lessons at one end and fitness swim lanes at the other. Lanes are slow, medium and fast-paced swimmers. Other swimmers are very courteous and let you pass if you are a slightly faster swimmer. There is a separate smaller pool which is used for family swim and aqua exercise. They seem to be able to cater to all very generously. Lockers take a pound coin which is returned or trolley token if you prefer. Near the locker room exit, there is a spinner to wring out your bathing suit. There is a good mix of size of changing rooms. Most other places have one or two large changing rooms, but her there is quite a generous amount. If you're doing a fitness swim, you can place a bottle of water at the end of the lane for refreshments. Changing area always looks clean and the pool is closed twice a day for 45 minutes for them to do a thorough clean.
