Have been here at least once a year. One of the few zoo in southern district of Johor. The price of tickets are very cheap. Can go to the zoo by public transportation. The public stops at the front entrance. Certainly old-fashioned as the zoo has been operating for quite some time. A relaxing environment, the zoo has few sections; land mammals, birds, primates and aquatic. There are food corners inside, mini stalls selling foods and cute items. Suitable to visit with family, partner, friends or even by yourself if you feel to.
[IMPORTANT] It's closed until further notice. Most likely until next year (2021). Was disappointed that the closure was not updated on any social website and no one picked up the hotline.
The zoo is considered small compared to other zoo that I've been. But suprisingly, there are a lot of animals. I advise to visit between 9am to 11am as some nocturnal animals still awake. The zoo gave opportunities for the public to feed their deers and camels. Would be a great experience for kids.
I always enjoyed going to this Zoo since i was a kid. But dont expect it to be like Singapore zoo. Only a true Johorean can appreciate this zoo. And i would say its probably the cheapest Zoo in the World.
I remember when one of the zoo keeper calling for the tiger named as "yam" if i'm not mistaken outside the cage, and surprisingly the tiger "aummm" him back! We are all amazed 😂
Worth to go and the fee is cheap..Bring your kids so that they enjoy watching animals..
Cheap, well maintained
Not too big ... Just nice for bringing children to see animals
