Annie is amazing. She sold my home before it even went on the market and provided exceptional support throughout the process. She's smart, professional, really fun and her knowledge of the Oxford market is unmatched--which impressed me initially--and was proven by the price achieved. During the survey, a leak was found and she provided a skilled plumber immediately in order to expedite the process. After many moves, I have yet to find an estate agent with such professionalism and honesty. Without hesitation, I recommend Annie Crum.

We were very fortunate to have let through John D Wood in Summertown for the past three years. Celia helped us get our first flat when we initially moved to the UK from the US and it was a very positive experience, which we were particularly grateful for since we were unable to view the place in person before moving. Celia was extremely helpful, responsive, and the flat exceeded our expectations when we arrived! We also dealt extensively with Carol who helped manage our property and she was always very kind, easy to work with, and dealt promptly with any concerns. When we moved to another property managed by John D Wood, Carol, Celia and Jackie were really helpful in finding us a new place and the transition went very smoothly. The second property was also managed by Carol and we continued to be very happy with her service! In general, we found the staff to be very kind and accommodating and are so happy to have worked with them!

Been waiting 2 months for them to fix an issue with the dishwasher in the apartment i'm renting. I chase and chase but have heard literally nothing back. Nobody ever responds to emails. No doubt they'll respond on here like they'd done to other bad reviews, but keep in mind they've had 9 weeks of chances to respond to me directly, and they haven't ever bothered. Now keep in mind, the minute something goes wrong with your direct debit, or the landlord needs something, they'll be all over you like a bad rash. So when it comes to money they're perfectly communicative. When it comes to them doing something to make sure you're getting what you're paying for, good luck.

We rented through John D. Wood and they were absolutely brilliant and utterly professional, especially Carol who dealt with any issues that arose speedily. We've been renting family homes for years and this is not always the case, however much you pay! John D. Wood were a head and shoulders above any others we've used.

Terrible experience! They must be paying someone to write good reviews. Communication bounces between various flakey people. Tenancy was cancelled 3 times due to problems with various apartments. They want your money before anything else and they overcharge rent and their fee is extortionate! As soon as you pay the rent they disappear , if you have any issues you have to waste half your day going to their office! NEVER use big companies such as John D Wood and Co. or any Company associate to Countrywide PLC, they have a well oiled system of ripping off customers to pay for their criminal employees suites! They have agreed on sharing a commission for introducing me to my private agent which they tried to deny too - he had to take them to court! Bunch of lowlives.

I recently appointed J D Wood as sole agents for the sale of my property. They were very responsive and quickly found a buyer. At all times they have kept in touch providing regular updates. JDW managed extensive renovations at my property before the installation of new tenants. Everything was done to the highest professional, quality and efficient standards. Special thanks to Carol who led the project and to Jackie and the back-up team in the office. JDW have now been managing the property since 2012 and I have never had anything but the highest praise for their performance.

Snobs, plain and simple. We requested a viewing for a property but were told that we wouldn't be suitable. I have a broad Yorkshire accent, which must not fit with what they usually hear. Our viewing request was refused despite us being exactly what the landlord was looking for. Little did John D Wood agents know, but we actually know the landlord personally. We decided to have some fun. We got another friend of ours to ring up to book a viewing. She is titled and very posh. She was offered a viewing immediately, with no questions about income or jobs asked. Obviously she didn't go, but we were very pleased to have been able to prove that some staff at this branch are simple snobs. This is very worrying in 2021.

Snotty estate agents. Refused a viewing on a property, despite ringing as soon as it was listed. It comes to something when two educated professionals cannot even get a viewing on a property, as an estate agent deems us unsuitable. We would likely have been willing to put in a competitive offer, above the asking price listed. References and guarantor could have been provided, as well as full payment upfront. We understand the need to vet potential tenants, but this approach simply reeks of hoity-toity middle England.

We have had outstanding service so far from the whole team at John D Wood. From the initial consultation with Daniel assuring us that their approach would have an offer within a month, to the superb marketing material and then the carefully planned viewings with Annie, Celia and Wei. The offer amazingly did come in within the month, kindly relayed by Celia on a Bank Holiday and the efficiency since then has been overwhelmingly reassuring. Highly recommended.
