JEN Singapore Orchardgateway by Shangri-La – lake district

Was the hotel for stay at home notice, overall nice rooms and very friendly staff. Initial check in to a long time. Staff send motivational messages every day and showed a lot of care. Well appreciated.

Stayed here for SHN with my family. Upon arrival we received two connecting rooms without the need to ask. The staff member, Adrian, even supplied me with pencils as I mentioned I like to draw but forgot to bring my own ones along. During our 14-Day stay, the staff was very pleasant, professional, friendly and quick to answer our questions and find solutions for our needs. All in all a very nice experience and the team at Hotel Jen made our quarantine isolation a pleasant experience and time passed quickly though.

Overall, this hotel is really nice, with quality service, friendly staff and whatnot. I was travelling with another person so we requested for connecting rooms, unfortunately we were told that only families were provided with that, and it's pretty reasonable. The room was a little cramped for 2 people, with work space for only 1 person, but all in all facilities were fine. The highlight of the stay would probably be the staff - all of them were polite and friendly, and very responsive. They would even leave handwritten notes along with the food delivery to cheer us up, it was really sweet. The only thing I would nitpick about is the food - the food was okay compared to other SHN hotels I heard about, which were nightmares. However, the food always came at slightly above room temperature and a little soggy, with the lunchbox all wet. As for the food itself the taste is mediocre at times, with it being half wet, but I would say their western food is quite good, like the cheese mashed potatoes and cream penne pasta. It would be better though if they had given us other sources of protein than mainly chicken drumsticks and shrimp and squid. My opinion might vary with others, since I'm a picky eater, but I'll rate the food 3/5. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you Jen Orchard!

We ordered “ let’s meat “ Christmas food from Hotel Jen for Christmas Eve celebrations delivered to our house . This Christmas morning, at 11.15am we called the hotel Jen to register the issue with the food with the Chef and the manager - but all they did was “ feedback noted “ - nothing to rectify for us as customers. The issue is as follows : 1) The roasted beef was totally not chewable by all 5 of Guests - and that it was supposed to be our main entree 2) So avoid ordering this “ Let’s Meat “ set from Hotel Jen 3) it’s not over-cook or under-cook, it’s just so low quality beef that it’s simple nor chewable Avoid , Avoid & Avoid - food is bad and customer feedback response is also bad

One of the best experience of living in a 5 star hotel. Perfect ambience, warm and cozy interior, clean vicinity, cooperative staff everything you can ask for. This hotel is located exactly on the orchard road with so much happening places around, variety of restaurants and metro station all in the same building. The rooms are well ventilated, suitable beds and inventory. Neat and clean washrooms with adequate lighting throughout. The food served was really great, tastes delicious. Overall a great experience.

Hotel Jen served as my quarantine for 10-days as assigned by MOH. Room is clean and comfortable. The meals that were served was good and (except for some side dishes, but still okay) and portions are big! They would also come on time. I also loved their desserts and pastries. The staff are accommodating too and they would send a thoughtful note each day. Plus, the toiletries came in big bottles which could even last for a month.😂Appreciate how this hotel made my isolation bearable. Thank you to your staff! Will definitely consider this for our future staycations.

My staycation at this hotel, run by ShangriLa, was sponsored by the Ministry of Health. I'm no stranger to hotels as I traveled frequently for 3 decades, before COVID held the world hostage for nearly two years. I must give credit to the hotel staff as the service and meals have exceeded my expectations. Kudos to the management too.
