We contacted William from Jefcoate Anderson after reading some on-line reviews from previous projects they had delivered. What a good decision that was. From our first meeting through to project completion our expectations have been exceeded at every point. Our own initial views on extending and upgrading our 1930s bungalow were kept central to the design process but using his expertise William was able to add further value to our own ideas whilst keeping our budget in mind. William managed the project from planning application through to certificated of completion. He nurtured very collaborative relationships between us as clients, our building contractors and the district council giving us a stress free process and a home that has surpassed all that we hoped for. 5/ 5

I have had the pleasure of working along side Jefcoate Anderson Architects on the specification side of their business. Being involved in helping choose the internal elements (Bathrooms, Kitchens, Tiles and Flooring) is very personal and both Gavin and William take time to ensure clients are delighted with the products and designs and every little detail. I would not hesitate to recommend them. So friendly and approachable, and go above and beyond.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jefcoate Anderson Architects for all the great service they provided. The drawings they did for us gave us amazing insight into what was possible. We started off with our own ideas, but they took them to a whole new level! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone wishing for a house extension or conversion. Thanks again, Tom Halliburton

5/ 5

My wife Maite and I can’t praise enough our architect, Gavin Jefcoate of Jefcoate Anderson Architects, Edinburgh, for his plans for a new house were perfect for the circumstances. Our large garden in Craigleith Road seemed suitable for dividing into two and building a house on the vacant side but although our first architect did his best his plans were rejected and we also lost the appeal. What was needed was a different approach and Gavin designed a smaller, innovative, and eco friendly modern property that was just right for the space. The design was also sufficiently different, yet appropriate, for the area. He also advised we engage a consultant, Albert Muckley of Ironside Farrar, and he guided us through the application and appeals, all the way to the Scottish Government, and the plans were finally approved. We just could not have done this without Gavin and Albert and Jefcoate and Anderson Architects. Fantastic result!

I can't thank William and the team enough for their welcome and advice when I wandered into their office one day, confused and unsure about buying a property. William later came out to look at a few places with me before I finally bought somewhere suitable for reconfiguration and extension. William devised a wonderful design that creates great views of the garden and uses a corner window to make the most of the light moving around the property. The extension transforms an ordinary New Town basement flat into something fabulous. Everyone who walks into the kitchen loves the way the garden wraps itself around the building. Its the perfect space to start my day - whatever the weather it always lifts my spirits.
