I joined the Jd gym after being customer next door,JD gym is good and not too busy I hope don't get busy like next door the reason I moved to JD gym.few things I like to highlight Some area are too dark need more lighting on ground floor its health and safety hazards. Also no weight numbers on machines so you don't know how much you pushing need no on plates. Also no instruction on the machine or so you don't know what the machine for . Rest is ok

8 squat racks with Eleiko barbells and disks, makes so happy I can just start on my squats without having to wait. The little sponges on the sides for deadlifts or cleans are a bit dodgy some of them are sunk into the floor and the barbells rolls inside and the surface is uneven to pick up the weights. Feels like a nightclub inside, dark and loud music, which is not too bad I guess. It's got everything you could ever need from a gym if you like barbell training, deadlifting or weightlifting platforms are lacking, there's Just the dodgy sponges mentioned above. Got told off for deadlifting on the floor ☹️.

2/ 5

Dangerously too dark, you can't read the plates because it's too dark downstairs & speakers are too loud & low above the cable machines, literally gives you a headache & is impossible to listen to your own music. The racks aren't numbered so when I arrived almost every dumbbell was on the floor because nobody knew where to put them back. The seat part of the benches can't be lowered which is dangerous as it makes you feel like you're falling back when about to dumbbell press heavy weights. None of the plates built into any of the machines are numbered so impossible to know what you're lifting & track progress. No water fountains, just a random sink upstairs that doesn't specify if the water is drinkable or not. Changing rooms dangerously too dark. Scanners at the entrance to get in & out don't work. Would give this gym a second chance in a few months if they corrected the small issues.
