So last Monday we decided to take our son to Jazzy Jungle for a late afternoon run around treat. The website said they closed at 6pm, but we rang ahead to check if it was going to be OK to turn up around 5.15pm. No problem they said but the cafe will be closed. No worries, so we arrived at the 5.10pm. Our boy ran around and played and we left at closing time.
Today we decided to do the same thing, as he enjoyed it so much last time, so we didn't call we just turned up at 5.05pm, we also had our friends little girl and our five month old daughter. We walked in and were told we couldn't come in as it was after 5pm. I explained we had turned up this late last week and wasn't a problem, to which we had a response of "Well I'm the manager and I wasn't here last week so you were given the wrong information, we don't allow anyone else in a hour before closing" To which I responded "We have two very excited toddlers and maybe your staff should be informed correctly" However this manager wasn't having any of it.
I started to get my boy and put his coat back on and try to tell him we couldn't go in to which he cried his little heart out he is only just two and a half. I also said to the manager how terrible it was that I have to explain to my son that we aren't going, and he'll probably think he's done something wrong. The manager said "It is on our website!" Which it is not. What might have been the sensible thing to do is say "Well because you came after 5 last week we will let you in but for future reference we stop entry after 5pm." But no she just watched us try to get two upset toddlers out. Disgraceful, our son cried all the way home and he was white!!! He is not a spoilt child and due to the weather conditions playing outside wasn't an option this was a treat for them both. I am disgusted by the manager and I will never be visiting the place again!!!!
