Best hairdresser in Edinburgh - I should know I have been to them all! I have fine hair and I really would not trust anyone else to cut it other than James.

I was in desperate need of a hair cut today. I happened to be in the area so I popped in and met James, He was so nice and friendly and also knows is stuff when it comes to giving a great cut. I'm delighted with my cut ( This is something that hasn't happened for ages) I'll definitely be back in a few weeks. Highly recommended!!!

Avoid the place at all costs! I was given a junior hair stylist who completed ruined my hair I went in for my roots to be done I’ve left with yellow/orange hair and a burnt scalp my hair is falling out in clumps and I’m going on holiday tomorow I’ve been crying all day feel so horrible.

Two of us booked straightforward blowdries at this salon via Treatwell. We paid £32 and £35 each for a junior stylist to make a complete mess of both. This is a straightforward hairdressing function, the girl admitted in front of us that she was incapable. To compound matters the Salon manager insulted both of us on Treatwell after leaving an honest and open review. Check Treatwell for other negative reviews and his responses which range from calling people liars to telling them that they "have the wrong sort of hair". There are great hairdressers in Edinburgh. These people are scammers. STAY AWAY!

We just moved to Scotland from England, and I needed a nice clean cut after being in lockdown and me cutting and bleaching and colouring my own hair 2 months ago... walked into James Alexander today met Sharon who was absolutely lovely and helpful. She looked at my options, was attentive and patient as she explained why she recommended the cut I was getting. Her colleague was also really friendly, and made it really easy to settle down and trust them. I recommend visiting this salon and of course asking for Sharon, though I suspect her colleague would be just as amazing...he was just wonderful with an elderly lady who walked in with specific wants on her lil' trim, absolutely sweet with her! I’ve been here several times and have always been happy with my haircut. I really liked the chilled atmosphere and the staff are always friendly.
