Highly skilled, friendly and experienced staff. Good value and customer service, with a genuine interest in retaining your custom from the business owners. I have had numerous items tailored here over the past 5+ years including: Barbour wax / Gore-Tex mountaineering / all styles of jacket, shirts, designer jeans and office / sports wear. I am very particular about fit/ finish and retaining the functionality, as well as factory appearance of clothing. I have always been pleased with the work carried out and meticulous attention to detail. I would certainly have no hesitation in highly recommending the services offered at J Baird.

Never go here again felt really uncomfortable the lady was so rude not the first time I had heard this and people warned me about previous incidents but this was an emergency and the only place local to me! Would of thought this being their business it’s all about customer service but no way it was an awful experience do not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

I brought my jumper in to have the sleeves shortened and it was stretched out and ruined. I gave them the chance to fix the problem but they could not and said 'there is always stretching with wool, this is the best we can do'. This just isn't good enough when I was told that it would not look any different, otherwise I wouldn't have had the alteration done in the first place. I received no apology or return of the cost of alteration, never mind the cost of the ruined garment. My complaint was ignored by the owner. Very bad customer service, I will not be returning.

Put a jacket in for alterations. Given a very good price and reasonable time scale. Let's wait and see how it turns out.

I always used J b alterations, however today having experienced a very unpleasant, rude woman, I won't be back. Such a shame as previous lady was extremely nice.
