When Island Spa opened, I was thrilled because it meant I would never have to drive up to Bergen for King Spa ever again. Island Spa is much cleaner and quieter than King Spa. It's where I go to pamper myself and relax. The massages are just okay, but I don't come to Island Spa for that. It's all about the hot rooms and ice room in constant rotation. It's great to see the temperature of the room because you know what to expect. This is a great place to hang out with friends too - it's very spacious.

Editing my review: Owners, please tell clients to not play video on their phone with volume turned on! I don’t want to hear their programs when I come here to relax. If you want to listen to something, bring headphones! Cleanliness has gone down. Clients can not be bothered to throw their used clothes and towels into the bins provided. Please tell people how to appropriately use a korean bathhouse or employ more staff to clean up after people who can’t clean up after themselves. grumble, grumble ************** Just came back from an entire day at Island Spa. So relaxing, such a good deal to relax all day long. Food and smoothies are good too. They just installed a beautiful fish tank. Small snafu was that they were renovating their kitchen and had loud drilling noise coming from the kitchen right at lunch when the eating area was full of people. That wasn’t so peaceful. Everything else was stellar including the free yoga class which I haven’t gotten to try but is on my list. Could have stayed another 4 hours and already looking forward to the next time.

Went to Island spa and sauna on a Thursday night with my amazing girlfriend for our anniversary. The gentleman that did my services were both very pleasant and skilled in there trade, I would definitely return to enjoy the experience with them again. Overall the location is very nice, sanitary and full of amenities to enjoy ranging from hot tubs, dry and steam saunas, relaxation areas, sleeping rooms, and even entertainment tv and movie areas. I would highly recommend island spa and sauna as a getaway for yourself, a significant other or group of friends.

My husband and I came here because we were given a gift certificate for our anniversary. The masseuse was super rough on my body and I asked him to take it a little easy on me. He continued be rough and I even screamed ouch a few times. Not happy about that. Head massage wasn’t worth the money either. He just scratched my head for 20 minutes. Then there was a man that bathed in the woman’s bathhouse which made a few of the woman uncomfortable. They charge you for extra towels. They should give out some sort of slippers as the floor wasn’t clean and you can’t bring shoes. When we checked out , I wasn’t even asked how my services were. I had to explain how uncomfortable my stay was. After speaking to his manager he told they allow transgender. There should be some sort of communication or signage on this. The sushi we ordered was good. If I didn’t have the gift certificate this would not have been worth the $350 we paid.
