I chose this practice to deal with our house purchase due to positive reviews I've read on here. Unfortunately, our experience with them was not good at all. The solicitor we dealt with, Vanessa, has clearly no idea what customer service actually is. She was abrasive and unhelpful throughout the process, ignoring my emails at times. The house we bought was full of junk on completion - something I asked her about beforehand, but she was adamant that there is nothing that can be done even though I have had a similar situation in the past and my solicitor at the time had handled it fine. Disappointed and would not recommend!

This was our first property purchase, and Lauren Forbes from Insight made a potentially stressful experience with an aggressively pushy seller a lot easier, by wrapping everything up and completing in just over a month! We'd heard the usual stories from friends in the lead up to not expect much in terms of communication and speed from our solicitors, but Lauren could not have been more efficient and available to speak to. Highly recommend.

2/ 5

I used Insight Law for the sale of my first flat and I would not recommend them. I was selling to a first time buyer and there was no chain. On the plus side they were helpful at pushing exchange and completion through and the sale went through in the end - thank you. The sale took around 14 months - it felt like everything moved very slowly and the level of proactive communication was negligible. In summer 2018 the first sale fell through when the buyers mortgage was refused due to ground rent on the property. When I asked my conveyancer for advice on what to do about the issue I was told ‘You will probably come across the same problem once a new buyer is found’ and offered no advice or even a hint of empathy. This has meant the past 6 months have been very stressful for me. I was sure when I found a buyer that the sale would collapse given the person I was paying for advice had told me the problem would recur. When I instructed Insight Law I had already exchanged on the purchase of my new home with another solicitor however they weren’t local and were more expensive. I chose Insight because they were Bristol based, offered a good price, had experience in leasehold properties and had good Google reviews. In hindsight I regret choosing Insight and I would not recommend them especially if you are selling a leasehold property with ground rent.

I recently used Insight Law to assist me make a rather complex limited company buy to let property purchase. Gemma Monday and her team went that extra mile to keep the transaction on track and dealt with several issues on the title of the property. I would recommend them to any one looking for a quality form to assist you with your property transactions.

2/ 5

I recently used Insight Law as solicitors for my first property purchase. On the plus side, the process was fairly smooth, they were generally quick to respond to queries, and the completion went through quickly and without incident. I don't have any other experience to compare it with, but I hear stories, and I assume this is pretty good. On the bad side, there were basic admin mistakes from the start, including my address, and missing details for the purchase price and payment reference number. Not a big deal, but I expect better from a firm who are handling paperwork this important. Later, I was given an invoice which was off by £10,000. The first time I queried it I was fobbed off. I had to contact them again and clearly explain the error for them to notice the mistake. Now, a week after completion, I've been told the figure was incorrect again. This time by another £1,000. The last thing I want after making the biggest purchase of my life is someone turning around and saying I owe them another thousand pounds. My advice: if you use Insight, double check their work or you might be in for some nasty surprises.

I used Insight Law for the purchase of my first house and they managed everything smoothly. My solicitor changed a couple of times, due to somebody leaving the firm and another on annual leave, but I was always made aware of who was managing my case and any messages I sent were responded to promptly and politely. I would use Insight again if I move in the future.

I used Insight to do the legals when refinancing a company-owned property and Natalie did an amazing job - everyone told me the process would take 6 weeks but I only had 2 weeks to pay off a bridging loan or face hefty charges - Natalie pulled out all the stops and managed to get it done with a day to spare!! Saved me a small fortune. Fantastic effort.

We worked with Insight Law and Vanessa Peat on the part exchange/purchase of our properties. The service was exceptional. Always on hand to support. We encountered some hurdles on the days leading up to completion and Vanessa was superb in ensuring all was resolved with the other parties. I would highly recommend Insight and Vanessa's services
