I have experienced appalling customer service at post office section of the shop. I came to send a small parcel, guy behind the counter was reading a book. Waited for a minute or so to be acknowledged, but had no success. Other guy came with customer, excused me from the queue and served the customer. I asked to check the price for parcel, but second guy disappeared quickly. In the meantime still no acknowledgement from the first guy. Third guy showed up and gave me the price for the parcel without even looking on a scale. He was gone as soon he appeared. I said OK (into mid air) and grabbed an envelope from the stand with an intention of filling it out. I then realised that I have no pen, so tried to make an eye contact with the first guy, who was still reading his book undisturbed by an outside world. I said: Can I have a pen please? There was a long pause, but first guy acknowledged me for the first time and replied: Buddy, it's Covid, we can't share pens. I replied that I can't share my money then. I feel obligated to add, since Covid was mentioned, that guy first and third did not wear facial masks. Cannot remember whether guy number 2 did, so will give him the benefit of the doubt.
