ibis Glasgow City Centre – Sauchiehall St. glasgow

Was there for a business trip. Downtown is in walking distance if you're good per feed. Rooms are Ibis standard, so nothing spectacular. Breakfast was okay but take care if there are several groups of tourists checked in as this might end up with the breakfast room completely overfilled around 7 o clock am. There are parking lots directly in front of the hotel which we used (fee can be payed via App and credit card) or you use the car park not far away (but of course more expensive)

The pros: * Within walking distance from downtown (approx. 15 minutes walk) * A few minutes walk to the train station * Friendly staff * Nice breakfast selection * Fairly big rooms * Comfortable beds The cons: * The air in the room was very study * The bathroom had an unpleasant odor even though it was clean * The drainage from the sink is very show * No cupboard, just a little corner to store your belongings * No safe in the room And just for information, a construction site is currently opposite the hotel and by the looks of it, it will take some time to finish (I visited early June 2019)

Perfect. The room is immaculate. Bed is comfy. The staff are an absolute pleasure and the food is wonderful. A great selection of vegan choices. I will definitely be staying again. Thanks Ibis.

Cheap and cheerful but you get what you pay for. It was clean and warm and thats pretty much all I was after given the price.

Staff welcomein. Room was clean and tidy.. The kettle did not work but they got us a new one right away.. Thanks for a lovely night

Very nice hotel and breakfast reasonably priced as you can help yourself to as much as you like. Got into the hotel earlier than check in which was handy. Clean and spacious room. Nice bathroom too. Only thing was it wasn't exactly on Sauchiehall but still within walking distance of everywhere. Across from a building site at the moment but didn't hear or have any issues.

I was torn between 1 and 2 stars. Three star hotel? How? My view is a literal building site. You'd think with so many empty rooms they would know not to put people in rooms over looking a noisy building site. No bath. Tea in paper cups, plugs that make no sense, a bed that feels less comfortable than the ground and a bathroom that feels and looks cheap

Great friendly staff. The lady in reception on Saturday about 10am and the same on Sunday is a credit to the company. She went out get way to help me and my friend. However much money she is earning, it should be doubled. The rooms were nice enough for the price as well but the lady in reception made the stay, sorry I had to many beers to remember your name.

Great hotel and location. I had a early check out before breakfast time so they made me a to go bag which was nice of them. Thank you

The lady on the front desk was so helpful. The hotel shares the restaurant with the Novotel next door. So she walked me round to make sure I was ok. So clean and I got two chocolate bars in my room. Simply lovely
