If your a tradesman in York or a local business you'll know how good this company is!! We use Howarth Timber on a weekly basis and never had any issues.. Prices are decent, unlimited stock and some of the nicest guys in the business.. Thanks guys

Been in today great service especially the big yeti in yard david marshall everythin I wanted absoulty brilliant

All be it that the prices are good we bought 20 lengths of Decking boards as the weather was good we decided to get it laid . But there were some poor lengths that had warped & twisted some was slightly damaged which I hadn't noticed when it came the other week it goes with out saying check what your signing for .

Great company and great staff. Last time all staff helped me to load car so I could get all before closing time. The only reason why not 5 stars is that I can't check prices anywhere so it's hard to plan budget for DIY jobs but they usually cheaper than any other shops around!

I've had a trade account with Howarth timber in York for a while now and have never thought the counter staff were particularly helpful but yesterday i found the counter staff attitude was worse than ever, I left without buying what i went for and got a much better service at Wickes, I will be closing my account tomorrow and won't be visiting them again. My only regret was not getting the guys name as he wanted reporting in person.

Ordered a 1 meter piece of wood and paid online. Went to pick it up and there's a queue of vans waiting to go in. They're letting 3 in at any one time. Rang to ask if they could pass it out to the guy on the gate but can't do that as everyone might then ask. Sorry but not well thought out by them. Fine 3 in the shop but the whole damn site when there's a car park at the front makes little sense.
