Hotel Fort Canning – lake district

On arrival we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who showed us the way to the room. The professional service from the staff continued to impress for the rest of the stay! The city view room with a nice big bathroom with a view was impressive, as was the king size bed and high cielings. The hotel is classic colonial style and you'll leave feeling refreshed 👌

Was there for a staycation end 2020. Having a colonial building in a unique location is a huge selling point. Place is beautiful and well maintained and the pools which use filtered water are amazing. You won't have chlorine smell all over your body even after 1 hour in the pool. The bad part is they are banking so much on these points and their monopoly of Fort Canning that they neglect the service part. So don't expect first class service of top tier hotels. Service recovery policy is non-existent. Delayed check-in of a full hour, no updates, and greeted by an apology and offer for a cup of tea. After an hour. Asked for extended check-out instead and was given... 15 mins. Not sure how they intend to win return customer but then again with the monopoly of Fort Canning, they don't need to. First class infrastructure, third class service.

Having high tea in hotel restaurant. Food is very delicious but a little bit too much for one person. Each one can have one set. If two persons come, suggest to order one set to share. Then can order other food to try.

The hotel is old with serious ant problem. Dried ant bodies on the window in the bathroom as well. The door is not sound proof. If the room across the hallway is occupied, then you can hear their TV whenever it’s on. The view is spectacular, but their curtain makes a tough choice between the view and your privacy. Maybe consider replacing it with a shade. Nice staff.

Beautiful hotel, if you like nature, probably you can give it a try. The check-in is very comfortable, you will be served with drinks on a sofa when waiting to be check-in. Their bathroom concept is amazing. However, be-careful when the walking around bathroom when the floor is wet. It’s very slippery. Make sure to ask for more floor mat. Breakfast is good but not a lot of variety.

Lunch at the restaurant was quiet and pleasant affair. Good choice of local fare and western dishes. Quality is good and well recommended.

Appreciative of the courteous and attentive staff. The rooms are really nice!! Also, they called me back regarding a missing necklace for me to collect at my convenience.

Beautiful environment Cozy But the temperature in the room is really stuffy Even though outside temperature is more cozy then inside.. The front desk staffs are quite friendly & attentive, but on bad side, there was delay on our request just of a bucket of ice cube Waited for almost 40 minutes each time when we requested throughout our 2 nights stay over there In conclusion, it is still a perfect staycation experience if the mentioned problems could be improved in the future. 🥂

The hotel is situated inside the park, and has beautiful scenery surrounding it. The staff is really nice, and very helpful. I came here for a much needed staycaytion, and upon asking I was given a park facing room. It is an amazing how quiet this place is although it's situated right in the middle of the city. Highly recommended!
