This hostel charged double. I paid on arrival with bancontact and they charged me again on the credit card I used to make the booking. I tried sending e-mails to various of their e-mail addresses. Never got an answer. I tried calling, the phone number isn’t recognized. They either have an abysmal customer service or they just pretend it didn’t happen. Either way, in the end I got charged 110€ in total for two mediocre nights. Next time I’ll book a hotel where I at least know what price to expect when I get charged and where customer service would at least try to solve the problem.

Staff were friendly, pub is cool, convenient location (next to a 24h shop), room was clean and had fans, but if you actually want to sleep, don't bother. At least there was orange juice for breakfast (not fresh, but decent). My issues: - No towel hire wasn't a problem, (towels cost £5 to buy), but the towels hadn't been pre-washed, this meant that I smeared micro fibres all over my body after washing - disgusting. - The shower was either scalding or cold, and the drain was semi-blocked, meaning water backed-up. Couldn't help feeling I was bathing in other people's filth, clumps of hair floating, etc Bleugh! - There were no operating toilets or showers on our floor. We had to go down 1 flight for toilets and 2 flights down and back for the shower. Annoying! - We got given 1 keycard between 9 people. Why? Cheapskates! - The metal bunk beds are rickety and make a racket all through the night because of the ladders banging against the frames every time someone moves - a disaster! Remove all the ladders before trying to go to sleep! Even then, good luck sleeping if you're not inebriated! Noisy and wobbly bunks. I've slept on sturdy wooden ones elsewhere, SO much better available! -There's a socket to charge your phone in each bunk, but my phone just slipped straight down the side of the bed. It could easily have fallen onto the floor and broken. So dumb! - The locks in the showers and toilets were faulty. I thought I had been locked into the shower, finally got out minutes later using brute force! Later, I thought I had locked myself into the toilet cubicle (no engaged sign on the inside) only for someone to open the door while I was sitting on the toilet. Terrible! - Unisex toilets are cramped and quite awkward. There aren't enough sinks, so you have to squeeze past each other, or press against the walls. - The bread for breakfast was cheap and thin. Despite toasting it almost broke whilst trying to spread jam. No dairy-free options. And the cereals were stale. - There were no pancakes on offer when we were there! - The taps in the kitchen are broken. They ask you to wash up, but washing anything is an ordeal and mess. No mixer tap or proper implements, so you get your hands dirty, using the cheapest WU liquid ever, then you scald your hands. Rank! - Nowhere to lock any valuables away in your room -The coat hooks were above the huge bin?! No common sense in the design. Don't expect much here!

The best host I've ever come across in a hostel! Simon sorted us with a free beer, played banging tunes at the bar, we had good crack. We were shown the entire building. Easy to find everything. Showers are shared but everyone seems sound. Cheap prices with basic breakfast included (toast, pancake, cereal, juice, tea and coffee) nice little communal area, washer and dryer so we could do all our laundry and the live music in the evening was amazing! Great place to stop off on your travels. And only 10 minute walk from the beach. Banging. £20 for 2 people to stay for one night. Would definitely come back!

Well, I booked and paid on 29th October 2019 for one night for 25th April 2020. The booking was cancelled due to the Covid 19 lockdown, I contacted Booking.com, with whom I made the booking and they told me to contact the Hostel directly. I have not heard a word from the Hostel even though I have emailed them on several occasions asking for news on a refund. It's a terrible service and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
