In my opinion, this is the most scenic hidden gem of Oxford. You should go there on sunny days and enjoy the silence and the peaceful atmosphere of this place. Is definitely worth a visit!
Holywell Cemetery was founded in 1847. I particularly enjoyed visiting this cemetery because it looks like a movie set and I'm sure this place is really scary at night.
Uno dei posti più incantevoli e magici di Oxford, tranquillo e silenzioso, non sembra neanche di essere in una città universitaria piena di turisti.
The cemetery is now a wildlife refuge with many birds (including pheasants that nest there) and butterflies, as well as small and larger mammals, including Muntjac deer and foxes. Hedgehogs are also known to live there.
