Got checked in early and staff were very polite and helpful. Got a room on the first floor and on exiting the lift I was hit by a horrible smell throughout the first floor, all the fire exit doors were open to try and get fresh air in but didn't help at all. Got into my room and discovered I didn't have a toilet seat so had to go back to reception to tell them. Maintenance did come quite quick to fit a new seat but how that could be missed while making up the room I don't know.

Stayed here three nights. Room and hotel was very clean. If you don't want daily clean you can request new towels etc instead, which we did. These means no one enters your room when not there. You need to book a time for breakfast as you check-in, then on a morning wait to be allocated a table. All the usual food seemed to be on and you request what you want from a server and puts it all on a tray for you. There was a short queue on one day, but otherwise it seemed to work well. The hotel is well placed, just off inner ring road and minutes from the outer. Having the Asda a short walk away was a real bonus for us. Our only point on Covid is that there wasn't anywhere near enough ear signs to advise people to where masks, etc. There was nothing on our floor and we often met people not wearing a mask. We did raise to reception when we left, so might have been corrected. We would definitely stay here again.

Just spent 4 nights here for work purposes. Let me start off with that the hotel is currently being renovated and improved and the parts which have been completed look great and welcoming. This does mean that the remaining areas are tired but if they are up to the same standard then it will be amazing. The real jewel they have is their staff , really top notch , friendly, efficient and accommodating. They were a credit. It was perfect location to where we needed to be. Slightly out of the way for the city centre but just a taxi ride away. Rooms comfortable and the cleaning staff did a amazing job. Lovely hotel that is actually brought up by the staff. Thank you

Stayed here for one night, the staff were great. My son was hungry late evening and the man behind the bar made him some toast, small things go a long way. Room was spotless and the brekkie was the same 👍🙄👍
