I am a IHG member and I am a fan of the Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is in a pretty good location right off the 787 and it is close to some really good restaurants and points of interest. I stayed on the second floor and my room was large, clean and very comfortable. The only issue was with the cable. You had to go to channel 1 to find out what was on as every channel you clicked on didn't have the information available. They serve a pretty standard complementary breakfast (eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, muffins, etc.) and they provide free parking for guest, which I greatly appreciated. I overall enjoyed my stay and will definitely book another reservation in the future.

Unexpectedly decent hotel! Stayed here for a single night while attending an event in Downtown Albany. Our venue was just about a 3 minute drive to the location, so we opted for an uber which came in minutes. Parking was easy on site and in a covered lot. Check in and check out were easy. Breakfast was decent with the usual items we haven’t had in NY for almost 2 years since the pandemic started. It was nice to sit down and have breakfast. Will definitely stay when we’re in the area again.

Loyal IHG member. Put in a room with AC that doesn't work. Wish us luck to have a good night sleep, 75F and not going any lower is not a very good temperature for sleeping. FD states no rooms to replace available...

Nice and comfy, quiet with great amenities. The food is good, and the restaurants around the area are quite good. Small yet delightfully spacious inside. Pool. Sauna. Weight room. If you have to be in Albany, then this is OK! Near the Capitol, even walking distance on a warm day.

Elevators were only on one side, so being on the side farthest from, it was really inconvenient to access. The person on duty at check-in had no enthusiasm whatsoever. Almost as if he was annoyed being there. He wasn't rude at all, but his energy made it feel this place was "meh". Breakfast was decent and delicious. The location isn't going to be known for any views as there's a noodle of highway ramps on one side to see. Guess it can't be helped, so no lost points for that.
