I just returned from a weekend stay at the Holiday Inn and I would have given it a 5 star rating apart from the fact it was blowing a gale the whole time and was so noisy in my room with the wind whistling through the window that I didn't get any sleep for two nights! I thought this was the same for everyone and was just the weather but friends staying in the room next door said it was quiet in their room and they slept fine! Apart from that the hotel was great, breakfast fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed staying there! Just need to visit when there isn't a gale!

After changing rooms from extremely loud neighbours with a screaming child, we was placed in the last seafront room available and I can see potentially why this room was the only one not let out! Walked into the room and unfortunately confronted by a mould smell however as it was late I just wanted to crash for the night. In the morning and opening the curtains shows the extent of the water ingress though the double doors which over looks the seafront. As a fire and flood mitigation technician and trained in all aspects of drying and restoration of Building materials. Skirting blown, carpet and underlay wet and stained, high levels of microbial growth present to lower section of wall and would recommend the removal of damaged plaster and the installation of drying equipment!!! Staff nice and helpful but room requires miner repair and cosmetic works. Breakfast 10/10 and will definitely return however will want to check the room before committing. I hope that you take on board my recommendations reference the reinstatement works to room 510. Photos on request.

One word sums up this place really. “Alright” Certainly nothing special. A little over priced for food and accommodation but acceptable. Not awful. Did seem to be a general lack of staff and no attention to detail. Probably wouldn’t go back. But have experienced worse.

Nice hotel with underground parking. The parking cost £15 for the overnight stay right through to 6pm. The hotel is located close to the main shopping centre. Great selection for breakfast in the morning.

Stayed here for the weekend and the room was very good value for money, and the staff were all so helpful. Parking was very limited, but this was better than none which is usually the case with hotels/bnbs in the area

Overall very nice staff, room was pleasant, room service was quick and shower was great. The walls seemed like they were paper thin however, so we could hear our neighbours frequently. We were also woken up at 5am on both nights by the screeching noise of the loading bay out the back of the hotel. Would recommend if you’re not looking for luxury.

We stayed in sea view room 5th floor. We have throughly enjoyed our stay here, although the building is bit old but the rooms are spacious , best view , well maintained and bathroom are refurbished. Service is top notch right from cleaning , room service and hotel staff they are very helpful and kind. Really we are planned to stay there again. Big thanks to the hotel staffs for making our stay enjoyable and memorable.

The hotel looks old, the breakfast was terrible, the plates and silver were dirty, for dinner they didn't have most of the things on the menu, the quality of the food wasn't enough for a 4 star hotel, before checking out the cut the power off, whit out any previous notice and we had to use the stairs seven levels down with suitcases, baby and trolley. The amenities of the hotel had missing parts and we could not use them. I don't recommend this hotel at all, I had been to another holiday Inn and this is the worst experience that I have ever had so far.

Lots of issues with hotel. Booked dinner B&B, first night no restaurant open. No-one new what was on the menu that we could eat so we were refunded our meal plan & ate elsewhere. 26 minutes check in & at least 30 minutes check out. Friends room safe didn't work & no working light, reported to maintenance... Never fixed. Tea tray not replenished in our room. Under sofa in our room old sweets, breakfast cereal & rubbish, never cleaned, even after reporting it. Good points.. Lovely view, good location, friendly staff & very spacious room although no drawers in room at all so underwear etc had to go on floor of wardrobe....?
