After falling in love with a bookcase I found online, I realized it was at a shop in the UK...and I am in the US. Nick was amazing to work with...sent me extra photos, directed me to reviews as I was a bit nervous about purchasing such a large item from overseas, arranged for shipping, provided status updates...did everything but pay for the piece! I would highly recommend Hingston's Antiques...no matter where you are!

Nick, the Chairman, was a pleasure to work with in every regard -professional, highly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and very responsive. He made shipping arrangements expeditiously, and he made several inquiries so that a reasonable quote was able to be obtained.. The quality of his antiques is superb and all restoration work has been done to the highest standards, as is self evident if you go to his shop or examine his website. I would highly recommend Hingstons of Wilton Antiques, and I will gladly return to purchase more from Nick as the need arises.

I recently bought a Victorian walnut table from here. Beautiful condition, superbly restored. An absolute delight. I live in London and was not able to come to the showroom, so Nick uploaded a youtube video of the table, which was almost as good as being there. A very innovative and useful service for those of us without the time to travel.

The best antique shop in the UK. I came accross Hingstons of Wilton antiques by the internet. On their website I have found immediately the perfect dining table I was looking for for a long time. I contacted Mr. Hingston (Nick) and straight from the beginning I had a very good feeling. It felt as we knew eachother for a long time. He gave very good and honest advice. He wasn't pushy at all. A real antique expert and professional. He saved no effort at all to send me emails, pictures and additional information. When I finally decided to buy the table I paid a deposit. A couple of days later I received a beautiful 'Thank You' card in my letterbox. This was a proof that he was a very decent man. His restorationwork is amazing. I asked for some extra gleam and he searched for the best polisher to do the job. Throughout the entire overseas buyingprocess the communication was very smooth and quick. The delivery was quick and the table arrived in perfect condition. Upon arrival the table was even more beautiful than imagined. I sincerely can recommend Hingston of Wilton antiques. In the past I have bought other antiques all over Europe but I have never had such a good expercience as with Mr. Hingston. I will definitely buy again at Hingstons of Wilton. Amazing collection - good quality and reasonable and correct prices. A must do - a must visit!
