Not the usual high class . Ordering a drink was an ordeal. Soda water and lime. I got a glass of soda water with a small slice of a lime. Sirloin steak was grizzle. The soup was delicious though. Breakfast was a joke. Shown to a table. I put my bag down and my paper on the table. Went for my breakfast returned to table to find another couple sitting there. They refused to move. The staff dont seem to know what they are doing. The beer smells stale and tasted off, not just our opinion either. Standards have definitely dropped.

A good venue for a large meeting. Relaxing environment and good catering that served over 300 people with a pretty good buffet meal. The cakes served with coffee were also pretty good. Staff very helpful and friendly. I would go back in a non-work moment as the restaurant and bar area looked good.

Wonderful Experience. Well appointed rooms with very neat and clean toilet. I couldn't experience the bar as well as restaurant food either for lunch or dinner. The complimentary breakfast was very good. As I was an Indian I was looking for some Indian Dishes but I couldn't find one. The support staff and the management look eager to serve their guests properly.. Ambience is too good. Value for money.

Excellent event venue. Easy to mingle. Great finger food and lunch. Big coat check. Fast! Good AV in main Hall. Kind a hard to get to cuz it is tucked next to a highway, but a cab driver will know way around. Great space.

Good venue for a formal dinner, however nothing about it is cheap. Gin and slimline tonic is £9 and parking in the car park is very convenient but at £10.50 for 4 hours in the evening maybe isn't the best value. Service in the hotel is top notch and facilities are very clean and well maintained.

4/ 5

Overall my stay at the Hilton on William Street in Glasgow was pleasant, offering a relaxed atmosphere after long stress filled working days. The only downside was that the room I was given was inadequate for the 28 days I stayed. Very little storage ... no drawers or workspace. Only one chair, not suitable for relaxation. The coffee corner was over crowded and despite asking for the removal of glasses and mugs, this only lasted one day before they were returned again!

I have been staying in the Hilton in Cambridge Street and was so disappointed with the falling service levels. The Hilton in William Street was exceptional and has restored my faith in the brand. As a diamond member this level of attention and service was fabulous and we will all certainly be back.

Updated review: Years later and I am still loving this property. The staff are always very attentive and welcoming. The newly refurbished king rooms are lovely, very homely. The new colour scheme is a lot darker than previously, maybe a little dark but I think it’s nice. I am looking forward to trying their new junior suites.
