Lovely walk down the canal. Lots of historical interest. Great biodiversity and a little shop run by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust that sells guide book, sweets and hot and cold drinks. There is a little museum and toilets!

I'm fascinated by the whole Derwent Valley. This was an interesting spot we visited on a walk down the canal. I'd forgotten what a metal workers vice looked like and here was one and nearby a wood workers vice. Interesting old tools too and the smell, it's all as it used to be.
