We stayed mid week. The hotel is really central--we walked from Lime St Station and it was straightforward. Very close to all of the sights of Liverpool. There's no breakfast, but 130 yds away there is a new Wetherspoons pub and ate breakfast there both days. There is a room service facility provided by a nearby restaurant. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our standard room was very clean and we were particularly impressed with the shower. The room was also air conditioned which was a bonus. Considering how central this hotel is, it was very quiet and we slept well. This may be different at the weekend! The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the lack of satellite telly/film options which the website seemed to imply the hotel had. Overall I'd definitely return.

Booking direct ( via best western ) gives access to some great deals (discounts for multiple nights AND the loyalty scheme. Beds are comfy and rooms are compact BUT not claustrophobic as the high ceilings compensate. It's a nice building. Clean. Comfortable. Value for money. Fully equipped - Tea tray (Tea, hot chocolate and shortbread biscuits), toiletries, white fluffy towels, hairdryer, iron and board, TV, aircon, desk etc. No restaurant - but The Alchemist restaurant (next door) provides breakfast from 8am and room service in the evening (tray charge is only £2).

Beautiful hotel, small but comfy room. No bar but it is attached to a bar next door 'The Alchemist'. This bar is too obsessed with making cocktails and fall down on their presentation of the simpler drinks. Lots of other bars in the vicinity, would recommend Manhattan a few doors up, is small but lovely staff and a great breakfast served till 11:30, very reasonable!! This hotel is in the heart of all the action.

Really lovely boutique style hotel. Very nice room which was spacious and elegant. Bathroom was beautiful. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is only a grab and go bag but there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. Great location for shopping and docks. Would definitely recommend and would stay again without hesitation.

Lovely old building in a great bit of the town near to the Mersey and close to the shops. It was smart, fresh and clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Come later in the night, it was so quiet-not often the case in a city. I liked that I could thoroughly control the temperature of the room and that the bathroom was well ventilated ( critical!) The grab and go breakfast was actually pretty comprehensive and a good idea. I loved the bottle of wine that comes with the room too. All excellent for the price.

Incredible loud noise every four mornings from 6 to 9 -even on sundays. From cars cleaning the Streets and waste bins being changed. I said it in the reception and she did not care. Also the Air conditioning did not Work and we said it in the reception many Times, nothing was done. And it was quite Hot in the rooms. Really a shame, because I liked the Hotel. Great location.
