Hertz – Oxford – Osney Mead oxford

Avoid this place! They give you vans that breakdown and then give you a replacement that is too small so had to wait in total over 3 hours with a full load of stuff as we were moving. In the end we did get the replacement van with the correct size. With a cat travelling it wasn’t good at all! The manager was very unhelpful and rude on the phone and also when dropping the van back. He laughed at me when I explained how long we had to wait for a replacement van and I explained that other rental companies wouldn’t act like rude or unhelpful. He’s reply well next time you go to them places. He wouldn’t refund me nor part refund me. In the end. I left and wrote to hertz head office. Where they gave me a full refund and ensured me my complaint would be taken further. If you’re looking for a rental place in oxford. Use Entreprise I’ve used them once before great service good choice of vehicles. Hertz oxford AVOID!!!

I had the best experience with Hertz Oxford from pick up to drop off, they even paid for a taxi from and to Oxford station. They explained all details of the car and made sure I knew to return it with a full tank or they would charge me the cost of a full tank, no matter how much was needed to fill it. So I filled it up and there were no hidden surprises when I dropped it off. The staff were all friendly and professional at the same time. I will certainly use them again when I'm in the UK and with confidence, recommend everyone else to use them as well.

Average customer service. I had to correct the mileage on the paperwork and also fuel was not full as mentioned in the paperwork.

Definitely avoid this company. The charge 3.84 pound to fill up the petrol. Bad customer experience. Only tells you that when you finish renting. And the full tank was not full either. Anybody who wants to rent from this company definitely avoid to do so.

Really rude obnoxious staff. Who want to be somewhere else. We're not burger King we can't get a car ready in half an hour. A repeated phrase I heard 4 times in ten minutes this afternoon. You are a customer service if you don't like it quit. Thrifty who are truly awful just around the corner. Europcar also. Do not waste your time going to hertz.

This is the second time I rented a car from this Oxford branch and On both occasions, I have been impressed by their service. On collection day, the car was ready and in immaculate condition, the admin process was quick and efficient and on return day,, the whole process was equally seamless. Special thanks to all staff for their friendliness and particularly to the lady at reception. Highly recommended.

Choose another company if you want your deposit back. The hiring of the car was fine but they still haven't returned my deposit almost 2 months after I hired the vehicle. There were no issues with the vehicle when they returned it. I have tried to resolve this issue, having sent emails and uses online chat but there is no way to talk to a real person to resolve this. They don't even have a complaints line open anymore. Terrible service.

Nice clean van done by the hour or half day. Recommend if you want an easy van to rent.

Car was really great, but we were charged an additional GBP 90 for damages to the car without receiving any explanation. Tried to call them and get in touch with their customer service via Twitter. Sadly no response within weeks...

The Oxford Hertz team is very friendly and helpful, always a call away to answer any questions or requests. We have rented from them several times over the past 3 years and every time we are positively surprised by their service. We would highly recommend them to friends and colleagues.
