This surgery need a lot of attention to fix up their appointment system as I have try to make an appointment for couple of days, but at the end when they pick up they come with say old result saying no appointment are left. This surgery need investigating by NHS because iv tryed to get in contact with them about my grandad about his xrays and it has come back not clear and they act like everything normal and they seem to ignore it. Below is and evidence on me trying to call them to make an appointment. I made up to 102 calls but it got ignored and they still did not give me and appointment and I’m waiting for a telephone call which is waste of time.

I have always found all staff at this surgery to be very helpful and friendly. If it is urgent then one can be seen the same day. I have seen a GP within a couple of hours of ringing to make an appointment. The way in which Heaton Medical Centre work so closely with the pharmacy next door to ensure repeat prescriptions are on time is fantastic.

We joined this practice many years ago and we were quite happy with the doctors and the whole practice. As time went by and the doctors changed except for a couple who stayed. Things started to deteriorate. Each visit would always be a new doctor as there seemed to be a regular changeover, this meaning you never got to know a doctor or they you. To ring for an appointment could take forever being on hold. Too get an appointment well that could be weeks away ( my very last attempt was over 3 weeks !!!! ). That made my decision to leave this practice. My husband made this same decision for a different reason. He had a motor accident and the hospital told him to go to his doctors as soon as he could. This was fine he got in the next day ( a one off ) as it was a sort of emergency. He saw the doctor but the doctor would not take his blood pressure, he told him to do it himself in the waiting room. Myself and my husband tried this but the machine was broken, reception tried it and agreed it was broke. So reception rang the doctor and asked could my husband go back in ( no other patient had gone in or was waiting ) The doctor said NO make an appointment to see the nurse another day. One thought came to mind DISGUSTING. I myself was seeing the nurse a couple of days later and she said " tell your husband to come and see me after his work and i will wait for him if he struggles to get back to Bolton on time". What a difference we found the nurses are so helpful and caring. Also we would always be on time for our appointments but the wait sat in the waiting room could be anything from a good half hour to well over an hour. !!!! We have now changed to another surgery and we are so pleased with our choice. It may not be an updated modern surgery but it is so welcoming. The staff lovely and the doctors 1st class. I have had too visit more than normal so another reason I am glad we changed, as TWO days is the longest I have had to wait for an appointment and next day the other two appointment's. To close I can only say I am surprised Heaton Medical Center have managed just over one star in these reviews. Our opinion is that it has gone down so badly over the years and feel so relieved to have got away from Heaton Medical Center.

Tried to register earlier today. Have you seen Monty Python's Holy Grail? The scene where they try to cross the bridge? It was like that. Decided to go else where. Cannot be bothered engaging with people who are just being obtuse. (I'm a health care professional by the by. I have some knowledge in this field. Thet two ladies are grossly ill suited to a patient facing role.)

Worst practice I've had the misfortune of registering with. Been seen by 3 different doctors for the same issue and been given grossly inaccurate medical information all 3 times. Due to worsening of issue and frustration with lack of knowledge across the 3 doctors I had to seek private medical advice for what is actually a very simple basic issue Advised privately that the initial prescription given was wrong and that the medical advice provided thereafter was also incorrect !!!! Avoid if you care about your health

I am stunned at the high level of negative reviews. Today I spoke to a lovely, very polite diligent woman named Tracey to whom did her very best to help with my requirements. It's a shame that the people who obviously take great pride in their work like Tracey, can get tarnished with such negative reviews. I give full thumbs up and many thanks to Tracey and the staff who've assisted me this year with such troubling circumstances during my pregnancy.
