5/ 5

Very good experience with a wide range of courses and opportunities. I studied a BTEC in IT diploma course and teaching material was very interesting and structured. Also gives you employability skill practice (i.e. presentations, mock interviews). Teachers are very friendly and helpful and the campus is right close to the bus/train stations so it's easier to get to from local areas, etc. It also gives you opportunities to retake subjects which you didn't pass during school and achieve even better grades in them (such as English and Maths). The campus has a gym, canteen and a library with a range of facilities such as computers, books, printing, career services, support services and much more. Would definitely recommend.

I had a bad experience with them, 26 students in the same classroom with three levels, and one teacher for all of us. This college is very badly organized and make the people waste time. intensive English course means; have a chat with your classmate in others languages but not in English. I am very disappointed with this college because I thought with this course I will have better English.

Following my previous review as 'Anonymous Person' I just want to point out that where I've said "The head of learning support here in Harrow College is so cruel that it's unbelievable!" I was talking about the Head of Guidance and Student Services. There are dozens of posters around the college, about the 'student services team' and also the safeguarding team with his picture at the top.

1/ 5

The level of incompetence, disgrace, and corruption here is so severe that it's not capable of being believed! The fact this college is ranked “the No.1” College in London really puzzles me! Like seriously? Are you having a laugh or something? Throughout the last academic year (2020-21) some teachers that teach GCSE and probably other levels did nothing but discourage and demotivate their students by simply using the phrase “shame on you”, a maths teacher used that the most, they did not even do proper teaching which is very surprising and concerning as it seems that they aren’t even proper teachers and only got the role of a teacher according to their qualification and I am pretty sure these teachers aren’t even appropriately qualified or fully trained and even if they are trained they are probably being trained to be ignorant to students! The teachers at this college continuously yelled at their students for not being able to: attend the lessons or be on time due to traffic, not being able to complete class/homework due to not fully understanding the topics the teachers gave because of the incapability to teach the students properly, not being able to do their work properly, this was again the way the teachers taught the students. These teachers did not even help the students to a good standard, in fact, they just yelled at the students for even asking for help! Teaching at a good standard is something that the teachers are supposed to do but unfortunately, this is something the teachers did not even bother to do, instead they, the teachers constantly belittled their students, they did not even take and check the students work even it if was online, which the students worked so hard for which clearly indicates that teachers and even the college don’t want their students to do any good in life, students have worked so hard the last academic year (2020-21) to get a decent grade but they were instead splattered with bad grades. A maths teacher told their students that the only thing and the only way the student’s grade will be calculated is through exams and not any other work? Other teachers said what the government said, use mocks, classwork, homework, attendance and punctuality as evidence for the grades but unfortunately they also did what the maths teacher said as mentioned above. I also agree with some of the other reviews about this college! A student, me, needed help regarding my results but instead, I was yelled at by the Head of Guidance and Student Services (also a designated safeguarding lead) and also by an exams officer which is an absolute disgrace! It's clear the staff don't even care about their students and they are nothing but bullies. I went into enrolment (in August) and I was absolutely appalled by the incompetence of staff members as they seemed so clueless! They literally made me wait for an hour to do my enrolment! The staff members of this college lie just a bit too much and they seem really good at it as a number of students join this college through lies made by the college but this just depends on the student and what they want to do. The staff also seem to get away with all the lies by spinning the wheel, meaning that they will simply change the topic or say how successful they are which in some conditions may be true but then again this depends on what they are saying. This college is nothing but a joke of a place of education, they say they are the best college in London when it looks like the opposite. The environment and infrastructure are outrageous! The walls and ceiling are crumbling especially in the B Block (in Harrow College). In conclusion: Do be careful when choosing to join this college and I do recommend reading the reviews.
